Wow . Glad you shared this piece . Also for a fact the commendable word would be very lighter for what he deserves . What he did was unparallel for his tenure considering the situation ( against all those odds ) . The depressing reality we are living is that our nation is ruined and our image is shattered, butchered ( exception : if you wanna take shameless pride on the name of Lord Buddha and Everest ) on every forum which goes against what this great man aiming for or the height he took us .

King Mahendra was the real iron man of Nepal.. I like his son Birendra too.. But for me he was weak bcz of all the education he received in foreign country. He couldn't carry the legacy of his father, and easily surrendered to corrupt politicians we have today. King Mahendra grew up on this soil only, knew the conditions, and was the real ferocious lion & patriot.
