Tony & Susan here, we have spent much time in St. Lucia and it was as you say a nice place. We did not stay in Rodney Bay we stayed in Marigot Bay and I highly recommend that anchorage upon your return.
Brandy. Your dry bag should not be worn like a school book bag. VERY bad for the back and puts the load away from your core. You want it to be as high on your back as possible. It raises your center of gravity and makes climbing easier. The chest strap should also be fastened. It helps keep the shoulder straps on your shoulders. Hiking sticks also help.
“Cases” ....such an important (and accurate) key-word. It’s like worldwide distress over an increased frequency of car fender-benders. I understand you have to decide your path based on local behaviors. It’s just sad that so many have devolved so dramatically to be willing to halt their life to try to avoid a tiny risk. You guys are truly living life and are a blessing to us land dwellers!
Wow - it looked really slippery! But definitely on the bucket list. Safe travels to Antigua - our favorite Caribbean island. I think we've been there 6 times! So much to see and do!
A 200 year mango tree is impressive that it's lived that long. When I was in McClellanville, SC, I went to a small park in town that has an oak tree over 1,000 years old. It was quite the sight to see.

We had very few cases until Memorial Day. There were a lot of vacationers and tourists to the beaches... afterwards I rate skyrocketed. Yes, I understand the discomfort.
Another nice video and always smiling... Don’t know about your back problem, but I found out that boat live (restricted movement) gave me tight psoas muscles causing lower back pain. Stretching these muscles is easy even on a boat and proved to be a quick fix. In RU-vid there are lots off vids how to... We now placed a workout “regime” to make sure we stay mobile and flexible.

I didn't let the so-called pandemic stop me from buying a boat and go and sailing. I left Pennsylvania in October and I'm now in Florida. I'll be here for a month doing upgrades and repairs and then it's off to the Caribbean.
Great video! I remember being on Saint Lucia a couple years ago. Didn't climb, however. But thought the island was delightful. Sailed then to USVI and on to Key West. Times were easier then. Sailing was wonderful though.

How long did it take you to do the hike? I love hiking but I don’t like coming back down. It hurts my knees and toes. The salad you made with avocado looked soooo good. Another beautiful video. Stay safe.

Hey Beau, I was wondering if you ever had the boat out of the water to do a permanent repair of the hole in the boat you had last year and how is it holding up? Was it a design flaw of the boat that caused the hull to fail in that spot? Were you attacked by a Narwal while you slept?

Curious ❓, how much do they charge for these Covid-19 test... Necessary expense, but just curious. Sure by now your there, hope it was a nice trip.
Thanks Kevin! The test prices have been all over the place in prices in the islands as low as $15 US in Bequia to $300 in Antigua. If the country requires it, there's really no why around not having the test, so we have to have them. Our average has been $33 US a person for a test.
Love this video guys!! Would you ever consider filming how you clean and gut your fish on your boat? I’d love to see the process. Be careful if you’re planning to sail anywhere near the BVI’s. I’m sure you’ve already heard but the BVI recently detained and heavily fined two US cruisers for just sailing into their waters. Safe sails!
We haven’t really, can’t say we are the best at it. Lots of videos out there that do it way better than we do 😂 said to see about the issues with BVI we’ve heard and will steer clear of it for now.
Ibuprofen would help your back beau. Muscle pain is caused by blood flow restriction Ibuprofen opens up that blood flow. So its not like aspirin. Take Care.

@@brianbergman.271 well i don't blame her! Yes, we found it very easy to message our family and the link was easy to follow for them as well for tracking purposes. lol. But if i remember right, you have to have a subscription to predict wind on top of the iridium go plan.

Thanks!! The hike was amazing! We clean the hull mainly for speed. Haven’t come across any regulations here in the West Indies to have it clean to enter their waters, unlike places like the Galapagos.
Bo, what happened to your friends? Curious, we are leaving Clearwater in spring and heading your way ... What software are you using for mapping and winds? Looked like navionics but I did notthink the wind was included?
What would happen if you didn't bother to get tested? How many sailors are buying into this - especially because it is admitted they don't have an accurate way to test for it and especially because it is nothing worse than a mild cold and has a 99.974 percent recovery rate?
Believe us when we say we don’t like it either, but if we don’t present a negative test then we won’t get into the country asking for it. We can’t even quarantine our way in.
