Yes! At minute 3:52, when Keith said God was calling him home, that is exactly what I felt 2 1/2 years ago. As a lifelong Methodist, I felt the call, by chance encountered the priest from our local Catholic Church and asked him if it was possible for me to become Catholic. I took RCIA, worked with the Tribunal regarding certain personal legalities needed to be taken care of, and proudly became a Catholic at Pentecost 2021. I finally feel complete. I’m sorry it took so long on this lifetime journey looking for Christ!

Oh man as Protestant considering catholicism Keith saying: "afraid of obedience because of what it would cost me." That sums it up for me right now. Living with my anti Catholic parents makes it difficult that said my mom is going to be reading the early Christians writings

Just be a Christian and read God's word. There are no denominations in the Bible. Also, the Pope can not be trusted.

This is a common experience. It was mine as well when I converted just over a year ago. The difficulties are real, like Kieth said. My wife didn't convert with me (yet), and I have anti-Catholic family as well. My dad was a non-denom Pastor, and my brother currently is one. My in-laws are some of the most anti-Catholic people I've ever met. But at the end of the day, I couldn't shake Jesus' words "He who loves father or mother more than me is not worthy of me; and he who loves son or daughter more than me is not worthy of me." When I became convinced Catholicism was the truth, it was a matter of following Jesus. Which made it quite simple. Difficult, but simple. Simple, but difficult. Receiving Christ in the Eucharist and being part of the communion of saints makes all the sacrifice worth it.

@@timothygriffith177 definitely easier said than done I am struggling with many of Catholic doctrine but it's probably even harder for because of my preconceived Protestant theology. But the one thing I am certain of is Jesus IS truly present in the Eucharist

You might show your parents that Jesus Christ established His One True Apostolic Catholic Church and Doctrine with His apostles, before His Passion. He appointed them leaders, Peter as Head, gave THEM His authority, power and Sacraments (The Keys to the Kingdom of Heaven). Jn 1:42, Mt16:18-19, 10:1-4, Mk 3:14-19, Eph 2:19-22, 1 Cor 12:28, Jn 21:15-17. He wants everyone to be His One True Church, remaining in His Doctrine and receiving His Sacraments and Teaching, or you do not have God. 2 John 1:9 Everyone who withdraws and does not remain in the doctrine of Christ, DOES NOT HAVE GOD. Whoever remains in the doctrine, such a one as this has both the Father and the Son. Gal 1:6-9, Heb13:9, Eph 4:4-6, Jn 10:16, 17:20-26, 3:5, 6:51-59, 1 Cor 11:23-29, 2 Cor 5:18-20, Jn 20:21-23, Mt 18:17-18 are a few of the pertinent verses. Jesus Christ said He is the living bread, the bread He gives us is His FLESH and unless we eat His Flesh and drink His Blood In Holy Communion, we will not have life in us. We would never enter Heaven. He also said at The Last Supper with His apostles, for them to continue His offerings until He returns. He said if we eat His Body and drink His Blood, we will have eternal life, but if we eat and drink of Him unworthily, we will be liable and bring a sentence against ourselves for not discerning it to be THE Body and Blood of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ. When the Priest blesses the bread and wine, it is transformed into The Body and Blood of Jesus Christ: this is called The Transubstantiation. The Transubstantiation occurs only in a Catholic or Orthodox Mass. ALL 44,000 other Christian Churches broke away from Gods Church, Doctrine, Teaching and Sacraments to start their own version of Gods True Church, just like the Pharisees, who God rebuked. Lk 11:37-54, Mt 23:1-39.

@@southernlady1109 thanks so much for these verses. I need those to show them because they are firm believers in Bible only. Me and my mother had been going through the book of Romans I've been showing her what early church has taught us what the Catholic Church teaches and she seems to be listening. She recently thanked me for exposing the errors the reformers especially Calvin. please pray for more opportunities as we continue though Romans and then the gospel of John next. Also pray for me to have courage thank you

This video really spoke to me. I converted to Catholicism a couple years after my dad died when I was 29 years old. He was a protestant minister and I remember my heart breaking when my mother said to me "Are you prepared for them to tell you your father is in hell?" Of course no-one ever said such a thing to me, but conversion can be very, very difficult.

Well, we can put down other religions that are Christian …. But then we have to also digest what people say god comes first. … so when we go to church, God should be the most surrounding moment. …. And then came his only son Jesus. … wish yes we all know that there’s a father and there’s a son and then there’s the Holy Spirit in order to make the number three. …. But when we enter the church, we should always be praying to God, and praising God as in our Commandments, and then Jesus, because he was the one that started what his father… put them on earth to do and look at the greatness and I’m not putting it down, but we have to really digest because there are lotta Catholics that leave the word God out and will put Jesus and only Jesus in the format so let’s breathe in and look how people look at us and yes, so the next time we enter in to church make the sign of the cross for Jesus, and thank God for sending Jesus his only son

I believe Jesus is the head of the church and we( believers) are a part of the body. We believe an repent to receive forgiveness and live in Christ. Not expressing our faith in ritual, but in spirit and truth. We are not to hinder anyone from coming to the Lord by faith. Galatians is a thought provoking book. The Jews added over 600 laws to the commandments and Jesus brought them down to 2. He didn’t say we needed anything else.

He gave us Ten Commandments, His One True Apostolic Catholic Church, Clergy, Doctrine, Sacraments and Teaching to get into Heaven, with His apostles, before His Passion. He wants everyone to be His One True Church, receiving His Sacraments, Doctrine and Teaching, or we do not have God. 2 John 1:9 Everyone who withdraws and does not remain in the doctrine of Christ, does not have God. Whoever remains in the doctrine, such a one as this has both the Father and the Son. John 3:5 Jesus responded: “Amen, amen, I say to you, unless one has been reborn by water and the Holy Spirit, he is not able to enter into the kingdom of God. In Jn 6:51-59 He said He is the living bread, the bread He gives us is His FLESH, unless we eat His Flesh and drink His Blood in Holy Communion, we will have no life in us. We would never enter Heaven. He also said to His apostles to continue His offerings until He returns. If we eat and drink of Him we will have eternal life, but if we do so unworthily, we are liable and bring a sentence against ourselves for not discerning it to be The Body and Blood of our God and Savior, Jesus Christ. 1 Cor 11:23-29 Ephesians 2:19 Now, therefore, you are no longer visitors and new arrivals. Instead, you are citizens among the saints in the household of God, 2:20 having been built upon the foundation of the Apostles and of the Prophets, with Jesus Christ himself as the PREEMINENT CORNERSTONE. 2:21 In him, all that has been built is framed together, rising up into a holy temple in the Lord. 2:22 In him, you also have been built together into a habitation of God in the Spirit. Jesus Christ rebuked the pharisees for making their own version of His Church instead of following His, same thing as all 44,000 other Christian Churches. Eph 4:4-6, Jn 10:16, 17:20-26, Mt 23:1-39, Lk 37:54, Mt 16:18-19, Gal 1:6-9

@@southernlady1109 thank you. I read these passages and believe. however I do not hear In them anything about one particular denomination. It is by faith you are saved through grace. What about the thief on the cross next to Jesus? He was told by Christ that this day he would be with Him in paradise. What about the first believing Jews? Where was the Catholic Church for them? Are they lost? What about during the time of Nero and that persecution of believers in Jesus? We’re these people lost? The apostles met gentile people on the road and In Prisons who were turned to Christ and baptized and received the gift of the Holy Spirit. They never entered a church door; are they born again? Ask yourself how much has been added to what Jesus, the prophets and Apostles gave us. Jesus said “follow me” We do that by faith and He shows us by His Spirit and scripture how to live in the light. The 10 commandments are a blessing to believe. Jesus said I give you 2 they sum up all 10. Jesus said he would not partake of the bread and wine again until he is in his fathers kingdom. He said as often as you do this remember me. It is a remembrance of Christ and his body broken for sin and his blood shed for our iniquities for the forgiveness of our sins.

@@transformtodaywithteresa7005 He’s not talking about a denomination, He’s talking about the only Church and Doctrine He established, that is the Catholic Church. Denominations came about after The Orthodox broke away in 1054, Protestants in the 1500s, now there’s 44,000 when Jesus wants us to be His One True Apostolic Catholic Church, remain in His Doctrine and receive His Sacraments and Teaching. We have a direct succession of Popes dating back to Peter, Jesus Christs apostle. We have His authority, power, Doctrine, Teaching and Sacraments. The only place on earth The Transubstantiation occurs is in a Catholic or Orthodox Mass. We are saved by grace, but not grace alone. Jesus showed mercy on the “good thief” but wants us to follow His Commandments, Doctrine, Teaching and Sacraments. To presume He will let us live however we want, is a grievous sin. You have a lot of questions, that’s good. Keith Nester is really good at explaining Gods Church and Faith, Bible in a year and Catechism in a year podcasts and Catholic Answers online are excellent resources to answer your questions.

@@transformtodaywithteresa7005 John 6:51 I am the LIVING BREAD, who descended from heaven. 6:52 If anyone eats from this bread, he shall live in eternity. And the bread that I will give is my FLESH, for the life of the world.” 6:53 Therefore, the Jews debated among themselves, saying, “How can this man give us his flesh to eat?” 6:54 And so, Jesus said to them: “Amen, amen, I say to you, UNLESS YOU EAT THE FLESH OF THE SON OF MAN AND DRINK HIS BLOOD, YOU WILL NOT HAVE LIFE IN YOU. 6:55 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up on the last day. 6:56 For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. 6:57 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. 6:58 Just as the living Father has sent me and I live because of the Father, so also whoever eats me, the same shall live because of me. 6:59 This is the bread that descends from heaven. It is not like the manna that your fathers ate, for they died. Whoever eats this bread shall live forever.” Some of Jesus Christs followers left Him as they knew He was not speaking metaphorically. He doubled down several times that He meant literally to eat and drink of Him for eternal life. The Transubstantiation occurs when the Priest blesses the bread and wine, transforming them into The Body and Blood of Jesus Christ, our God and Savior. 1 Corinthians 11:23 For I have received from the Lord what I have also delivered to you: that the Lord Jesus, on the same night that he was handed over, took bread, 11:24 and giving thanks, he broke it, and said: “Take and eat. This is my body, which SHALL BE GIVEN UP FOR YOU. Do this in remembrance of me.” 11:25 Similarly also, the cup, after he had eaten supper, saying: “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.” 11:26 For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the death of the Lord, UNTIL HE RETURNS. 11:27 And so, whoever eats this bread, or drinks from the cup of the Lord, UNWORTHILY, SHALL BE LIABLE FOR THE BODY AND BLOOD OF THE LORD. 11:28 But let a man examine himself, and, in this way, let him eat from that bread, and drink from that cup. 11:29 For whoever eats and drinks unworthily, EATS and DRINKS A SENTENCE AGAINST HIMSELF, NOT DISCERNING IT TO BE THE BODY OF THE LORD. The Transubstantiation occurs only in a Catholic or Orthodox Mass. There are Eucharistic Miracles happening around the world. Pope Francis witnessed one when he was an Archbishop in Brazil. Scientific studies proved the Blessed Eucharist is human heart tissue from the left ventricle (responsible for pumping blood and life through our bodies). The studies show the tissue is from a man who suffered extreme torture. The tissue was still ALIVE after many weeks.
