I went from being a nice guy and pushover to whatever the complete opposite is. Only now girls my age are used goods with kids growing up without a father. By the time I hit my late 30s I decided I was done with this game. I own my house. I make good money. Spend my free time at the gym, reading, hanging out with my neices and nephews. It gets lonely at tiime but the juice isn't worth the squeeze anymore. Nice guys finish last. But we also get the last laugh.

That’s the only world they know. When they meet that “nice guy” they think they see themselves that play those games all the time. Had a friend who was one of the nicest people ever. It was all because he was a devout Christian and that was his way of life. Girls absolutely fantasized about him. He was strong, built, and played football. He never went with any of them. He eventually married some Christian girl he met in his Christian college.
I’m naturally a nice guy. Its not an act. Im also one of the best dressed and intelligent guys in the room. I have to speak a lot in my profession so I would say I’m well-spoken and outspoken. The issue I have with your argument is- You equate “nice” with “weak” and “abusive”. You think all nice guys are acting.
I don't understand this "nice guy" debate at all. In my case I usually am nice to people because I think it's the appropriate thing to do. Most of the time my problems are in fact mine and it's me who has to deal with them. I don't blame others for my problems. I see my niceness more like a strength, as I am self-aware enough to not let my triggers dominate me. I never ask anything in return, ever. Yet I notice a lot of people see that as a weakness. It's really shocking to me.

There’s a difference between being “nice” and being a good guy. “Nice” means you’re a doormat. A good guy treats her well but has enough confidence to not take her bullshit and be the leader in the relationship.

This is true. I stopped being a nice guy 20 years ago and I have to change my number and move to get away from a girl that I break up with. The 2 girls I treated well broke my heart and set it on fire.

This mentality actually says a lot more about modern women than it does about modern men. What she is saying is that the only things of value that a man can provide are things that have nothing to do with his character. Men fall in love with women's character and personality. Women fall in love with what a man can do for her. That's why men have to become comfortable with being replaceable. Men are only valued based on what they can do for others. That's why the saying "it was only your turn" exists. Chris Rock said it best, "Only women, children, and dogs are loved unconditionally. Men are only loved on the condition that they always provide something."
