@@unapologeticallyabraham That balance is not happening in most marriages though. Men are conditioned their whole lives to put women first above anything else. My father is prime example of this. He's in his late 50s now, and despite making tons of money his whole life he has nothing to show for it from constantly bailing out women. We even joke that he is a retired "4-star General Save-a-Hoe" I think he should be focusing on his retirement, but instead he spends the money he makes now on cars and motorcycles because he never got a chance to enjoy the fruits of his labor.

The issue is humans don't want to lose luxury. Not knowing you don't need it. Ego is the only enemy there is. Spit in it's face and reject it outright. Reject desire and then you have your freedom. I kept contact with him ALWAYS, and paid alimony, but it never was the same and the mom tried everything she could to take that time AWAY from me and him. He is now 20yo. I dont really have a relationship with him. It was stolen from me. I had 2 other kids with another women, because i WANTED A FAMILY AND RAISE KIDS. Got stolen from me again. I became a ghost to them last 2. Mother dissapeared and move away. Couldnt find her again. I tried. Paid PI, got cheated. Paid lawyers. Got cheated. I still wake up at night randomly to cry about it. In the day i just live like normal. But inside?? Its killing me. Being stolen from your fatherhood is discusting. Its given no tought in our society.

Technology allows me to stay in touch with both my sons over the internet, but yeah, my mid-life crisis is much more fundamental: I am in my 50s having lost most of my assets to exes, and years apart from my children. Every day is a struggle.
