A good Christian life would never be completely satisfactory because God wants us to learn which enables us to be greater servants to him. Then we can spend eternity with him, happily and free.

Hello l am so sorry and very sad to hear this but l to know how you feel. I keep asking the same. I prayed before l got married. During my whole marriage and than when he wanted to end it and be with someone else. It nearly destroyed My faith but me and God made it through. Now still married and going through my divorce he once again had moved on to the next girl and it starts all over again the anxiety and sadness of 16 years of marriage and now 4 years alone doing my best to be grateful for what l do have instead of what l don't have. Telling myself and doing my best to belive God has a plan for me and it is a good plan. Now my business is being threatened. I tell my Christian friends l will pray and leave it in God's hands but really l am almost thinking this cam go either way... As before.

I believe in Jesus 100% for my eternal salvation and I will follow him to the end because he is indeed God and for me there is no other option. I spended little time with him and went to his church and fell deeply in love with him. I still go on his Facebook page and look up his preaching. I asked God for 9 years to take these feelings away, but he won't. I was wondering if he wants me with this person. I know it goes against his will. I can't even call God Father because he sure doesn't act like one. My biological father wasn't a great father, but sometimes, he gave me good advice. You have to really think maybe the bible was created by the government to control people, and a lot of church people who say they have seen God or heard him speak are mentally ill. Only broken people search for a religion.

Well the Bible says his ways are not our ways. He might not give it to you because it may end up being bad for you. Like for example… let’s say you ask god to make you rich .. he knows that if he makes you rich then you will forget him because you will be so consumed with your new riches and then you will be cast into hell because you idolized the cars, houses, and material things instead of focusing on our creator.. sometimes he protects us but we can’t see it. Don’t lose faith… I know how it feels.. I asked God and fasted for a specific house and applied but I didn’t get it. Yes for sure, sometimes. But there are very many cases of unanswered prayers for things really needed, like healing. The Bible says, that Jesus healed everyone. Without questions. But we just suffer on and on and on and see our lives waste away in nothingness. We ask, we seek help, we do everything the Bible tells us, we even fast, we even take in the homeless, according to Isaiah 58. Still waiting. For over a decade. It's not life. It's most horrid. It's not "I don't want to live", it's "I don't want to live.. like that" instead. We do want to live, just not like this. You don't have to suffer through the rest of your life. You have the reason to live (your Kids, in case you've forgotten again), all you have to do now, is to turn this life from "insufferable" to "moderately-sufferable". This is not something to be fixed in a snap, I've spent a good chunk of time, before I've kinda figured out for me on how to suffer less. First and foremost, is to remind yourself to live in the present, when your mind dwells on the past, and wobbles among all possible futures, you exist in reality that doesn't exist, that sucks on its own, furthermore, you fail to remember, that in exactly THIS moment, you don't really have too much to actually worsen your life with. When you feel like your mind drifts away -- you'll have to manually bring it back to present. Everything else on how to make this "present" somewhat decent -- is up to you, cause I can't possibly imagine what will work for you. And what is the command you are referring to? As for your claim that commands have not protreptic value, I would disagree. Every command given to us teaches us two primary things: how we are to interact with each other and how we are to interact with God. All of these commands were given to us for a reason, and they can be used to greater understand God's will or various characteristics of God, as every command teaches us to be more Christ-like in nature. I'm not sure if you are pointing out my actions in the second paragraph or that of others, nonetheless I will respond. I agree that you should not take "my context" or that of others, and should weigh everything you hear against scripture, as I encouraged at the end of my first comment. That being said, the context in reference was that of the Bible itself, Romans 9-11, which have parallel themes to that of Romans 10: Israel's rejection of Christ, as well as Paul's quotes of Moses and Isaiah that have context of their own in terms of the theme Israel's rejection of God's plan. This context is critical in the understanding of the chapter, as the quote itself could mean anything otherwise. I am not interested in what the dictionary says about such commanding words. Commands or wishes [scribal or secular] on moral level have zero instructional value. Eg, i will not ever to tell anyone to love his wife, but i'd be more than glad to to tell anyone HOW/WHY i love my wife. Scribes tell or command people what to do, but not even once how how to do what they want you to do To love my wife it entails me to do the following: allow her to speak; listen to her; hug her everyday; love her cooking, advice, etc. If you love me, obey my commands, Jesus commanded. It is fair an instruction; alas, he asked for a neurological impossibility; for no believer can obey or fulfill all of Jesus' or OT commands. I could teach you also not only what to understand and what ever try not understand and also give the How. Alas, that takes time and i am not sure i can do it. No. You never give up, we are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. And we must understand as hard and painful as it sometimes is, that He is sovereign, but in His sovereignity, He is always good. I don't know what you are going through, but I can tell you that I've lost a lot too, and it is painful and heartbreaking, but through it all, God never leaves us nor He forsakes us, He loves us with eternal love and nothing can separate us from His love. We must not lose heart and we must keep on trusting Him. Ask Him that through your trials He gives you His peace and comfort and that you can learn whatever it is that He wants you to learn.
