If you’re asking, Why Won't My Fasting Blood Sugar Go Down, this video will give you insights into high blood sugar, issues where fasting glucose is high, hyperglycemia and the dawn effect, or high fasting blood sugar. Maybe you don’t even have type II diabetes. Even if you can’t lower blood sugar, and even if you have high blood sugar on keto, there are usually reasons a person has high blood glucose or they are seeing morning blood sugar high.
If you continue to check your blood sugar level every morning and the blood sugar is not dropping the way you want it to, when you learn to work with your body, you can improve the high blood sugar in the morning issue as you better understand insulin resistance and how the body works.

Are you taking any supplements because if you are they are the likely cause of those high glucose levels. Don't take any supplements for one day and you'll see how different it will be.

The way I approach spikes: is to eat something, then check my sugar 1.5 hours later. If i get a big spike, I avoid that food. If I don't spike. I add it to my menu. I needed to see how each food acted with my body. My original goal was to keep my spikes under 160. Buy now that I got it dialed in on what foods my body likes.. I can almost always keep my spikes under 125. Example meal, A big bowl of salad with avacado, cucumber, mushrooms, blueberries, vinegar and oil dressing(homemade) and some HAM. I know this meal will not spike my sugars.

You are hilarious! Presented so well, now I'm definitely going to go through all your videos. I was told by a holistic doctor that I am pre-diabetic. I was having hypertensive episodes and ended up in the ER a few times. I think the hypertension is related to my anxiety/panic disorder. I've lost a lot of weight....maybe about 40 lbs . I have high blood sugar readings from adding carbs, so I'm doing low carbs right now. I lost the bulk of the weight first from fasting, OMAD and cutting out sugar. I want to learn as much as I can. I love doing research and I hope to learn a lot from you so that I can take better care of myself.

like the video says, it takes month or years. you want it quick, don't eat for a day or two..youll see instant result, worked for me. had stomach issues and couldn't eat for two days. on an empty stomach my levels dropped from 8.7 to 8.2, measured at the same time of day..i call this hyper fasting, fasting more than 24 hours. my blood sugar level is really stubborn but ive dropped it, fasting and work out. was above 10th level up to 18.9. I had stopped exercising for 5 month and didn't fast. at that time relied on zero carb/sugar intake and meds... suddenly it went crazy above 18. only on meds is definitely not enough..I'm on a platue now, into the 8's and working hard to get it into the 7 maybe august without meds...it's terrible though as sometimes I get into the 9's..that's because i change the time i test my blood which is in the morning where dawn phenomenon happens. think ill try midnight just before sleeping after 10 hours of fasting

Thanks. I suspected that gluconeogenesis was going on as a response to balance glucose shortages. For us it is a good thing if we are depleting the glycogen and fat reserves out of the liver. I am now 72 and in good health but working hard to be keep my fbc at 135. Some days it goes to 170 in spite of calorie management and waking 3 km. The only negative thing I was diagnosed with was a slightly enlarged liver. My cholesterol TG and LDL are high but it doesn’t worry me and I refuse to take statins. I hope to deplete the storage from my liver in a year with careful carbs management Enjoyed your presentation. Thanks again.

here I thought it was my fatty liver. Yes, I had an infection that would not heal for over 7 months. They gave me antibiotics for it with no results. I started doing Keto and went from 12.4 to 8.7 and now its 8.5 but seems to work when it wants to. I will keep going with this though. I think its correct, it will take time. My blood sugars are high still but quite correct, with all the crap my body got over the years, is still dealing with the corrections and healing will take more time to do. I even took some blockers for sugar and carbs, and it does well, but noticed my stool has food in it that isn't digested. I cleaned out my liver, kidneys, etc. to help resolve that and have no more pain in my side or stomach, which I had. So, you are correct in all what you are saying. Just wish my doctor paid as much attention to me as this video seems to do.

I began with fasting step by step. Yes it’s right- the blood sugar stays high but now without Insulin and I loose slowly weight. Trick is, I do not eat Sugar, bread, KH (only oates 30 g a day) . Better Protein, sometimes Nest and a Lot of Vegetables, Salat No KH , no beding hingry. It’s the Sugar-Level That makes me hungry. Now I‘am fasting 24 , 36 Hours without and problem and beeing hungry.

I'm on a carnivore diet no carbs or sugar and my sugar is dropping but can't get below 100. now i don't have a gallbladder since 2016 and i think i have a gut issue (heart burn none stop since the surgery and diarrhea none stop also). i don't have insurance can't afford it so going to the doctor so what is next for me? i ready to give up and go back to eating like i use to at least i was happy.

I understand the not having insurance. Deep dive on RU-vid till you figure this out. You will likely get further than if you had unlimited access to medical treatment. Sad but often the case. Learn how to get to the root cause through research. I have learned and found leads to fabulous information in the comments as much as in the videos. Heart disease IS reversable but it is driven by high blood sugar. The sooner you start to unravel your health challenges the less complicated and hopefully less expensive to course correct. Don't blame yourself either. The standard American diet is poison. Don't let anything keep you from your healing. This channel is a great start. There are many more. Got a question? GTS - Google That Sh*t! You got this.

For me, I've not found "carbs" to be a problem, since the carbohydrates I eat are whole food carbohydrates like potatoes (red, white, yellow), sweet potatoes, fruits, and non-starchy vegetables. Some processed foods referred to as "carbs" can also be high in fat. But, the fat content is often overlooked, due to the ongoing fixation on "sugar." Both "carbs" and "sugar" should be defined, as they mean different things to different people. Personally, I've found it easier to lose weight by lowering fat intake (leaner animal products; less butter, cheese, and nuts; avoiding oils) and increasing fruits and vegetables. Obviously, this isn't magic or rocket science. It's simply lowering caloric intake, as is always required for weight loss. So, whole food carbohydrates are not inherently bad. It's the inability to metabolize them that's the issue. Avoiding unprocessed carbohydrates only masks the underlying dysfunction. Perhaps avoiding them for a period of time can be helpful, while trying to address the underlying issue.
@KickItNaturally
@KickItNaturally Год назад
That just means you are likely processing carbs better than fats and fats are creating more trouble for you than the carbs. This video explains how things like that can happen and how no diet is right for every person: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-olKPDHWd2GM.html

I have a question regarding the chart in your video. It shows a range of 100 too 200 fasting glucose. My understanding is that guidelines say that above 100 (and below 120) means pre-diabetic. In my case, over the past few months I have seen my fasting blood glucose go from what used to be 85-90, to now 105. So it is in the pre-diabetic range, but on your chart, at the very bottom of your 100-200 range. Could you comment on this ? I'm a bit worried now. Strangely, my response to meals is excellent and I am not worried about this, I rarely spike above 140 even after eating carbs and even if I do, it is for a short period of time only. It is the fasting blood glucose that seems to have gone slightly above 100. So I'm not sure what to think. Thank you for the video.

A long story, but I basically stopped consuming almost all carbohydrates 6 months ago. My blood sugar is declining towards normal, but very slowly. I had a traumatic event then had a 2 carb protein shake (which I threw up in the ER parking lot) 10 min later i'm at the ER cold sweating nausea bright vision and shaking confusion about to pass out. My blood sugar was 130 before trauma event then in ER they said it was over 208. with ketones in my urine. Sounds like I have to stay stress free to do carnivore.

there could be other malfunctions or imbalances contributing to that as well, especially for a type II diabetic. Your best bet could be to go through our totally free digestion course because that will walk you through running simple self-tests you can run at home to get an idea of what imbalances can be creating trouble, and what steps would help you correct them. Be careful and read your food labels closely! I was eating a sausage on and off thinking it was sugar and carb free but it had dextrose and was totally unaware! Dextrose is higher on the glycemic index than even glucose. Essentially it doesn’t need to be on the nutrition info but only in the ingredients!!! After eliminating that food my BG went down a bit but was still bouncing around erratically until I did a fat fast and that finally got my glucose down in the 70’s and lower. It kept me satiated and my crappy keto feeling went away immediately. By the way I was getting plenty of minerals and salt the whole time which can also make you feel like crud if you don’t get enough. Also watch artificial sweeteners. Most will bump up your glucose too. Yes, even sugarless gum and sports drinks can mess with you.

And one more thing, i would like to really request for you to make a video on this. I've already downloaded and read your book "Kick your fat in the nuts" but i would love for you to paint a clearer picture on this topic. It is "Air Hunger".. the mainstream healthcare only brush this off as Anxiety and i had everything checked in terms of my heart and lungs and blood but everything is looking fine. It all started in 2020 where i was just playing my video games and all of a sudden i feel like I'm not getting enough air. So since then I've neen having anxiety bcs of the fear of not getting enough air. So the anxiety was only triggered after i feel like i can't get enough air. And since then my chest and tummy always feels congested and it's so much worse after eating so doc prescribed me PPI. Since then I've been only eating once a day. And i got off PPI 6 months ago after learning about the side effects. After watching your videos and trying the self tests you mentioned and reading your book i can conclude that i have : Anabolic imbalance Chronic Constipation Sympathetic imbalance bcs my pulse pressure is greater than 46 and my breath rate is 9 to 10 per min so indicates I'm too alkaline Low stomach acid Systolic lood pressure below 112 POTS or Dizzy when standing up Fatigue Restless legs syndrome which is especially bad after PPI

Basically you've made a video on all of this except for Air Hunger and Chest/Tummy tightness or discomfort. So i just want to understand what could be the cause of air hunger and overall discomfort in my chest and abdomen besides heart and lung problems. Is it coming solely from my digestion? I was overweight before and lost a good amount of weight already and there are days where i feel great and i am actually happy but there are days where i just feel down bcs of my discomfort on the inside which caused me to feel depressed even though i have no reason to be so. A video on this topic would be greatly appreciated. I'm already implementing lots of your tips and so far so good, now just waiting for my betaine HCL which i highly believe to be the answer for all of my problems. Thank you once again and sorry for the long essay

Hello, when I eat lunch or dinner my sugar goes up to 160 or more and within one hour comes back to 100 so that means my insulin is working, right ? but in the morning when the blood sugar goesup and stays up about 130, does not matter I eat, or I do exercise so what is the meaning of this? my pancreas is not kicking insulin or what in the morning?

Higher morning glucose is nature's way of giving you required energy in the morning. The idea that morning glucose should be very low is wrong.

@@mayankpatel5109 Are you doing a lot of demanding physical things for the glucose to be expected down? If not, anything below 140 is totally fine and normal. It is not normal to have glucose levels close to hypoglycemia if not doing anything physically strenuous. The ideal medical numbers are not gospel. Different people have different "normal" levels. Some people have high glucose but are technically not diabetic. The overall guideline levels have been lowered to where practically anybody can be labeled diabetic, then they can sell supplies and services to more people. Up to 180 was normal and were not considered diabetic until over 250, because that's where some can get into keto acidosis. If your highs after eating are around 160 that is within normal.

Hi T.C! Love your videos, truly Godsend. Read your book Kick your fat in the nuts, and started supplementing with Betaine HCL + beets which have literally changed my life. Im currently taking 5 caps (650mg ea) to each meal after titrating / doing the "HCL test". I eat 4 meals a day, rather protein-heavy. Ive read that supplementing with zinc, chewing properly, adding some probiotics etc will help "naturally". But for how long should I stay on the high dose HCL, are there any ways/tricks to tell when it would be a good time do taper down? Very much appreciate any input/pointers! 🙏

I'm in the process of taking my fasting blood sugar, with all the other self tests from Kick Your Fat in the nuts book. Day 1 - 125mg/dL (6.9mmol, I'm from the UK) Day 2 - 100mg/dL (5.5mmol) But my blood sugar 1 hour after eating and 2 hours after are fine - 102.6 mg/dL (5.7mmol) & 86.4 mg/dL (4.8mmol). Normal?

Unprocessed carbs are not the same as processed carbs .. they react differently in the body .. just like all fat is not the same .. why do we need to go over this every video.

Try stop eating saturated fats (don't eat meat, eggs, or dairy)-you'll also need to loose weight (the saturated fats you're caring) if you're overweight.

@user-bk2ni9xg6p me too. I take a capsule 400mg Gymnema Silvestre to a meal. Take it from the pharmacy. It destroys sugar the natural way and it increases the effectiveness of insulin . I sometimes take two at the same time.

@@CalebConnell-p3v. I was type 2 diabetic. I cut out sugars and processed carbo, no rice, bread, or pasta. A1C went from 9 to 6.2 in two months. It should be 5 by now after only three months. You can replace sugar with allulose, and regular flour with Victoria’s keto flour recipe. Making keto ice cream, brownies, cookies, nut candies and bread are a snap.
