i own 2022 RE. Stalling is kinda crazy. Even I dropped the bike and injured my leg one time because of instant stall. Tried to make some adjustment clutch lever and giving more gas initially. With this way, it is getting better. But haven't faced such kind of stalling issue with any other bike. I have been travelling with the RE since 3 months all over the Europe. Currently, it is 22.000km. So, traveling everyday, I can say that I am agree with all of your comments. :) Nice review. Cheers.

In the late 2022 Triumph allegedly had some software update regarding this issue - it has been reported by some owners so perhaps it would make sense to approach them about it. Especially that you've got it under warranty. All the best! :)

It´s simple. This is a motorcycle for a man. A man who wants the best seat, a powerful engine, go a little offroad, don´t like small motorcycles/mopeds and don´t want an outdated boring 1250 GS with a sound like a howling wolf coming right up your face :-) It´s a little funny, many thinks this bike is good at almost everything but just have to find something wrong with it. The GS people are like soccerfans, they just can´t accept something else and journalist seems to be afraid to say something bad about the GS. You can skip the Tiger, go ahead but it´s a great bike for what it´s built for. I have ridden som many bikes during my 39 years of riding bikes and the Tiger Rally Explorer is one of the best bikes i have ever ridden. But hey, thats my opinion ;-) God bless you all and ride safe! 😀

Thanks for sharing your perspective and right, overall one may say that it's a good bike but are there ones better for other riders? I believe that in general yes, and to me the regular GT could be such a bike. One of the best I think - also in most areas of comparison as it's really well-rounded. All the best with the Tiger and ride safe at all times!

You complained about the windshield and the air being in your eyes, with the windshield lowered. Makes no sense?

12:15 The high beam flash is designed as high beam off/on when you have your night lights on and as a high beam flash when you have your driving lights on. That makes sense as you are not meant to be driving at night with your driving lights on. I assume that's why the driving and night light switch is on the one rocker and not 2 separate switches.

How do you flash high beam with night lights on?
@shegocrazy
@shegocrazy Год назад
@@SIMTRIBE use the rocker on/off. During daytime when the driving lights are on it's one pull of the rocker.

Good review. I agree with most of your points but I am happy to live with the minor inconveniences. In terms of performance, I have ridden the GT Pro and own the RE and understand what you are saying. You are much more upright on the RE (which I like) when with the GT there is a bit more weight on your wrists so seems more sporty. I like doing long distance touring so the RE suits me. Cheers

Enjoy how you run through all the pro’s and con’s of bikes 😎 I bought the RP due to looks and yes they are tall but I am well disciplined in the ‘one foot down’ method🍻

I agree. That's why I opted for the GT explorer even though I liked the look of the rally more. If I was more dirt focused then the Rally is a no-brainer although I'd probably prefer a smaller bike like the 900 if that was the case. I am 6' 1" as well so not exactly a small person.

10:45. I have stalled a few times but I think it's technique more than the bike. The clutch seems to engage quickly and so you need to have a bit more throttle than you may be used to.

Then it should have the Suzuki feature where it increases RPM automatically to avoid such nerve-racking situations. Why, why is it that all European bikes have so many problems? I am new to motorcycles since 2018. I have purchased 3 so far (2 Kawasaki's and 1 Yamaha) and zero problems which required taking them to the dealer, because they are Japanese.

Same here. I have stalled the Explorer many times, it even threw me off of on a tight right hand slow turn.

The main stand is a pain, it takes a massive effort to put the bike on. Also, the pillion peg is in the way.

Its really a bummer that there isnt a sinlge full size bike for shorter riders. The 900 low by triumph is really the only true option for people 5'7" and lower.
@VToldsMotoShow
@VToldsMotoShow 11 месяцев назад
There indeed is a conflict as if someone is truly very short, then an adventure bike won't make sense as it's tall by definition. I understand the benefits that only this type of motorcycle gives but some sacrifices may simply not be possible to take.

Thanks for review . Can you compare gt pro and gt explorer ? The feeling of the bigger tank when riding slowly in the city and riding fastly on highway ? İs the center of gravity too bad when tank is full ? Video may be useful about this ..
@shegocrazy
@shegocrazy Год назад
I have the GT explorer and notice no difference if tank is full or empty. 10L fuel = 7kg weight but the weight seems well distributed and so it's not worth worrying about. The blind spot radar is hugely helpful as well and that's only available on the explorer.

With a full tank and a full top box with a pillion, it gets very uneasy to handle.
