Pretty spot on. I like it here. My only gripe is the loud planes from the nearby airbase and the Mountain distance. Def looking to get closer to them later this year.

Thanks Nicole! I visited friends in Aurora a couple months ago & deduced everything you said about it- suburbia indeed!! Great for family life, not so much for night life. Visiting again next week for further scouting purposes. I appreciate all the content you’ve provided. 🙏

if you really wanna get to the mountain quick i think Colorado Springs would be the best bet. I worked down there for about 6 months commuting from centennial and i had a great job which is unfortunate that I couldnt keep it because of the commute but when I went to work I was always amazed at how close the mountains were. I grew up in Colorado and many consider me a native because of how young I was when I moved here and I've never felt as close to the mountains as I did when I visited the springs. I've even lived in Denver and attended college in Littleton and neither felt as close to being in the mountains. Now if I remember correctly morrison is right under red rocks amphitheater and if you really wanna be in the mountains that little town is prolly gunna do the trick, however I hear there are issues with crowds and the like when red rocks has a popular show scheduled.

I think the biggest issue I see with Aurora is it has really bad suburban sprawl. great if you like suburbia but surprisingly still feels difficult to get to places even when you use a car.

ah, i thought this was going to be about Aurora as a whole not just the SE -- I'm debating NW Aurora solely bc of UCHealth, but i'd rather not do Aurora at all bc of the crime levels and having to be on public trans for awhile... smh

I live in Denver, just a few yards from the Aurora border. I never go to Aurora because 1) crime is out of control 2) Aurora police are out of control. They'll ticket you for walking against a light. Meanwhile, people are assaulting and killing each other from one end of the city to another.

@@coloradoliving2228 The worst suburban sprawl outside of Los Angeles. No culture, no nature, horrible traffic and ugliness everywhere, The only things going for it are University of Colorado Med Center and a few decent ethnic restaurants. That hideous and weird broken chair sculpture on Colfax sort of sums the place up.

Much better places around metro Denver than Aurora and many of them don’t cost much more. Aurora used to be affordable. Now you are paying a lot to live in that dump. Yes, south Aurora is nice but it still leaves you close to the bs. Thornton, Northglenn, Arvada, Lakewood are all better by a lot.

Aurora has one thing going for it, Its not commerce city or thornton. Where you can smell industial waste and dog chow cooking at the purina plant all day. If you do want to say one good thing about aurora at least it is near the airport so once you relize you dont like it you can fly away pretty fast.
