TY! That was fascinating! I screen recorded the test I should be asking for. I took screenshots of supplements. I also opened my Healow app to check my latest bloodwork. I searched my bloodwork for ferritin and couldn’t find it anywhere in the app. I learned a few things too! I was on iron for the first 2 years of my life. I had always struggled with iron in my early years. There were many times that I was unable to give blood because I was anemic. This is the first time I’ve ever heard that you can be both at different stages in your life. The whole blood sugar aspect of your interview was interesting as well. I would never have thought about blood sugar and menopause together before I came across you on TikTok. I sincerely thank you for the wealth of knowledge and information that you provide to me and so many other women going through this adventure called menopause!! TY Andrea!!

I suffer the opposite problem. Post menopause. 'i have low ferritin stores. I also have low trans ferrin. Which is an interesting swinging both ways. Despite 3 months of hard iron loading...tablets fusions....diet. I also dry sauna every second day. I suspect as sweating detoxes metals.....that I am letting go of my iron stores. So I think its worth considering anyone who has high levels try an infared sauna??? not medical advice of course. but if nobody shares their experiences nobody knows where to look for answers.

This was such great and needed information! I’m 60. Post menopausal because of a hysterectomy 7 years ago and my ferritin has been high for the last couple of years, which is weird because I always used to be anemic when I was menstruating. I had he ask the symptoms you talked about. I’m so frustrated. My doctor never told me this is a problem.

Thank you so much Janet. I also felt this information is so important to share with menopausal women. I highly recommend watching my interview with Dr. Thomas Pearls. We talked about it there too: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-BV1Ba3B_PEI.htmlsi=QRtD6YBO4DLm-_xy.

In Neurology Clinic if you ask for these Advanced Testing for Full Iron Panel or any Pituitary Gland and Thyroid Hormones, and also ask for Complete Metabolic Panel and CMP, some young Neurologist would really refuse and refer you to a Psychiatrist, as it happened to my Menopausal friend who has Lifetime Anemia and who was shocked how this works with Doctors who must get input from restrictive insurance companies and also who immediately think something else is wrong with a Patient who is asking for certain Bloodwork and other Important Tests. She had Pituitary Gland tumor too and wanted also her Carotid Arteries to get MRA Scan or Ultrasound as she had it done with an experienced Neurology Professor several years ago who recommended to periodically repeat these test... Well, instead of all requested Blood Tests, she just was labeled as Psychiatrist's Patient...

You are welcome. Dr. Sutton recommends avoiding red meat. Also don't cook with cast iron pans.
