Dudes. My arteries are full of microplastics. We got 12000 different forever chemicals in our environment. Nowadays you gotta eat 8 oranges to have the nutrition of one orange from 1920. This is because we using monoculture, 30 different pesticides, gliphosate everything. What a MAN can do, really? Sure we need kids in this world? You think this "civilization" we built is okay? I remember being that age, not too long ago but it flies by. It, usually, gets better with time. They say respect is earned, but the reality of it is we meet people with a certain level of respect already as a baseline, and more is earned, sometimes lost. And it really shows when elders won’t listen to you PURELY cause youre young. But it does get better, not long ago I had to put my foot down with my MOM over MY KID, but she finally respected it. The torch does get passed, sooner or later it will. Most of our stuff is new, but it’s same age old issues. Seriously, Plato was saying the same stuff your grandpa does today, there’s tons of historical examples. Only our modern day details are new. I think you found the right direction, something said in the end of the video, ‘moderation’ and ‘you don’t have life figured out’ It takes time. I think of age like you said. 18 is fresh out the tutorial. The first few years is trying to apply it all, then figuring your groove and play style. And everyone is on a different pace. Just remember to do what you can, keep moving forward to positive goals and things, and *NEVER* GIVE UP 🫂
Minimum wage jobs always sucked. You're right on the nose re: all the distractions. The phone is the worst. FB/Insta/Video/Pot/Porn, etc. -- all of that is toxic and designed to keep you hooked. I think we were "more grown up" back then b/c we had a lot of time to be on our own, explore on our own, learn on our own without the constant comparing and criticizing. My advice (I know you didn't ask) turn it all off -- the phone, the social media, the porn -- and re-grow from within. You're saying great stuff -- keep saying it, please.
Sounds like a bunch of cope to me tbh Yall can victimize yourself all you want but nothing will be given to you; you have to want it more than anything. I made 11k last month and I am 20 just like yall are 20. I was in entry level sales jobs for the past 2 years to get to where I am at now. (I’ve been doing this for 3 months) It was the hardest thing I’ve done but I wanted it more than anything because these guys are making 200-400k a year just communicating w ppl Learn a valuable skill and become a professional. People will pay you enormous amounts of money; zip code changing money for that skill. Saying that we are at a disadvantage is such cope lmao. You have so much info at your disposal in this generation that ppl didn’t have 20 years ago. You can literally become anything and learn anything. Almost everything that was said in this vid wasn’t necessarily wrong, it just contradicts everything I believe for myself and I can attest that all my success was due to the beliefs that are self serving to me. Majority of what was said, again wasn’t wrong. But if you adopt these beliefs i promise you are putting yourself in such a box w what you can actually accomplish.
I feel like our generation is just too real. All I need to be happy is a cart, sum ky jelly, and Aqua Teen Hunger Force. The problem with that is nobody needs to have a family to be happy anymore. The 50s was boring af so they had to do all these big things to make them happy, but now we don't. America has evolved to be the best. We created Heaven on Earth, why u cryin?
