Googled the statistics on how many exes return and it’s ONLY a little higher than 40% for both genders. Female exes return a little more than male ones. Statistics were based on the dumpers return. This is not necessarily true !! As a female when my ex and I broke up ….. I wanted to text him sooo bad b/c I truly missed him , but after 6 months and no contact I felt empty and just moved on … turns out he was doing the same thing !! We were two people with high pride !!! Do yourself the favor and just let the other person know how you feel !!!

I pleaded and bargained. I go back and forth on whether I regret it. Both my dad and my therapist told me not to feel guilty about sharing my emotions. One of the big problems in the relationship was lack of emotional vulnerability on my end. When I moved out of our apartment, I had reeled in my emotional panic started to build up my confidence again. But she will remember the FIRM stance I took on believing in our relationship, if and when she realizes the grass isn’t greener. Yea I was a wreck at first but I’m not ashamed of it as much as I was in the beginning. I’m doing better now. NC till I’m my best self✌️

You need to do a video after one has begged his ex. Most people here have already begged and pleased because they were not aware of no contact.

Most of the time it's just a convenient out. Path of least resistance. It got me good. Left to visit my elderly parents then told don't come back. Locks and garage door changed. There's always a person in the relationship that feels like they're the last to know what's up.

What people need to understand is if you are a burden on someone then don’t expect them to contact you again. This could be a man or woman. Value comes in different forms and the exchange has to be worth it to stay in that relationship. How much baggage are you willing to tolerate staying in that marriage or relationship?

I have to respectfully disagree about you saying that someone doesn’t breakup because of having to work on themselves . I broke up with a girl because she was demanding too much of my time. I tried to set boundaries and talk to her about it but it seemed to only get worse. I kept trying to make it work with her for about a year, but I started to resent her and had to end it. I really loved that girl, but I wasn’t ok with my personal goals and professional goals being belittled for her needs. It’s been two years now and I’ve made great progress in my life, but my heart still hasn’t forgiven me for my decision.

Man i don't even want her anymore, i'm really done. It's Carnaval here in Brasil, so i took a time and went on a trip with my family, and maaaan. So many pretty girls single, i have got at least 15 numbers in just a day of the holiday. I like her but i will not chase someone and persuade them to love me. Love is a choice, and she chose not to love me so the choice is done and i don't care anymore about it. As easy she entered my life she left, so as easy as i got attached i leave her behind.

My issue is complicated, she is in the military in the beginning of her 4 year active duty contact. We separated over long distance.

My ex does not want me anymore because I'm 10 years older than he is and dating a woman that's 10 years younger than he is.. so I don't think he's ever coming back..

If/ when you improve, did she improve as well? That’s what guys need to ask themselves if she contacts them. But the odds that she improved is highly unlikely.

For me it was just Right People Wrong Time & no amount of improvement was gonna change my mind. I was getting the shorter value in the "Exchange" & she was never gonna be able to match and definitely not excide my value. So I ended it & moved on. There's no amount of No contact (which apparently she has me in) was gonna change my mind. To be fair she had "circumstances" preventing what she could do, & she never saw to it to alleviate them. Ok. I want him because I like him and what we had when it started. It started good but ended too fast because of assumed expectations and communication problems. He took my enthusiasm as assuming we were a couple, so he ran away and I freaked out because I wanted to keep what we were having in a let it flow way and I chased and confronted him. So we broke up 2 times. The 3rd we got together he was emotionally out. I made a lot of mistakes!! I chased, I told him I was into him, I was too confrontational. The guy ran away. He started dating, he's putting himself out there, meeting girls. Now I miss him and the good days. But I was too needy and psychotic. I don't think he'll ever see me as high value. And I don't have a social life. I'm at that age when making friends and meeting like minded people is a fantasy. How could I make him FOMO?

How will they believe I'm the greater prize if we're no longer speaking? After 7yrs of being inseparable, she cheated on me and a month later we still tried to work it out, made all these progressive plans to move, start over etc and one day I call her and she dsnt answer. I called a few more times and nothing. She never called me back and I after that day left it alone also. It's now been 3mo of no contact and I'm devastated. To leave things on that note after so many years?.. I guess it's self explanatory though. I'm dying inside every day. F$@# love.

Fellas, stop downgrading yourself to even look into the why's. You gotta understand your ego and lack of self respect is the true reasons why you're looking at this. I see the logic. And maybe there's a difference between the genders. But as a guy, having a woman beg is not a turn off at all, it feels good that they are trying to save the relationship or whatever. Maybe it looks worse for a guy to beg? Not sure if the dollar to dollar exchange was a good example. It should be "I have this unique item that you really want and you have this unique item that I really want." Even though monetarily they could be worth the same, we both value each other's items more than our own and will keep exchanging what we have til one of us value ourselves(uniqueness/item) more than what the other person has to offer us because I believe that I can do better.

IF the ex comes back and you still want them, then that is the bonus only, not the purpose.
