I second this and I feel like that this is what my ex feels after she broke up with me. It was the hardest decision she ever made because we had a healthy relationship and we were both each other's first love. We were together for 6 and a half months. We broke up 2 months ago, and I did no contact, and I will be meeting up with her in person either this week or next week. Going to focus on re-attracting her, having a great time and showing her why I'm still a catch.

when someone really loves u and doesn’t want to lose u forever the one that broke it off should reach out and i agree w u but also strongly believe if they let the fear or “pressure” get in the way then they don’t value the relationship as they should so regardless if u go back it wont be for the best at that point ur better off moving on

She is thinking very low of you. Like somebody already said: run away as fast as you can. Prepare yourself for one year of suffering, but after that you will be free and find a new love!

You have come to a fork in the road, its time to take your ass up the path of least resistance and let her take the other one. Thats a long time, i've also been a long relationships in my life and i'm here to tell you, it does get better when you prioritize yourself afterwards. Cut your losses, move out, get some therapy in your life, get some hobbies, start cooking like a master chef, etc etc. Anything to distract yourself away from her situation. Go no contact, perhaps even block her on everything if you find yourself looking, remove pictures from your devices and profiles(save them to a thumb drive if you don't want to delete them entirely). It's going to be rough for awhile, but if you prioritize your health, wealth and heart, you will make it to a very happy place. There are millions and millions of people for you, do things that you love and the right person will find you. Don't entertain her if she comes crawling back, be nice and cordial. If you entertain her, you will lose ALL progress made towards a happier you. Run for your life, literally.

@@DiscLaddie I appreciate everything you said. Iam seeing a therapist and iam already a chef so I do got this for me. But here in northern minnesota at the moment it's hard to get out and do certain things but I'm trying. Definitely wont look back I'm actually looking forward to a new beginning and a better me.

I think that even if you know you will be spending time single for the foreseeable future, it is still true that if you broke up with someone, you expect you will find a better partner for yourself in the future by breaking that connection. I don't see this as being narcissistic at all. It can come from a place of naivety or maturity, but I see importance in assuming this notion to be true.

it’s really up to you, don’t set a time frame or limit though. work on yourself, your career , your body , your studies, whatever you can improve on become the best but not for them or to get them back but for yourself so you can send that message out to the universe that you choose YOURSELF not anyone

I was in no contact for 57 days and yes, he contacted me. Before that he wanted to be "friends" and I contacted him several times because of that. He responded cold and distanced. Now he has contacted me five times over the last weeks and I have not responded. After nearly two months of no contact, its his turn to feel the pain

Then he/she never really loved you and was never ready to be in a relationship the first time. Keep ya head up!
