Hi Dennis your CBT therapy has helped me a lot, im still dealing with the anxiety, its a journey and i will come out stronger.But i listen to you everyday while biking, my panic attacks, are no where near as powerful.I basically say" bring it on" and it drowns it out.Overall anxiety is still there but i am winning, i have momentum which i think is huge.I would highly suggest a one on one with Dennis although i never done i myself but the man knows the struggle.

It makes sense. My mom was like that. She would always say she was dying at any symptoms. She still does. I will definitely work on this. I’m on day 7 since I began working on anxiety. Day 1 I couldn’t eat or sleep. Day 7 I can carry things, do excercise, yoga and meditation and talk with other people. After the panic attacks I’ve been dealing with strong health anxiety. Right now it has gone down thanks to your and other youtuber’s videos. Thank you!

This is spot on.The root of my hypochondria and anxiety started in my childhood but in my early 20's I experienced first panic attack and life has never been the same since.Fast forward 20 yrs and after some good and some not so good anxiety moments I feel like I've hit a new low because now I can't seem to go anywhere too far from home out of fear of panicking in public or that my heart skipping will get so bad that I will die...and guess where this fear of dying started,....my earliest memories take me back to when I was a young child (under 10), I'd get sick a lot and that one time my mom was sitting by the side of my bed crying and telling someone (probably a neighbour) that she was scared I was gonna die.I was simply running a high fever,but I remember those exact words.She was always fearful of me getting hurt, I don't blame her, my dad worked on a ship and was out of town for a year at a time and I was the only child...I was the only child she had left, my twin sister died 9 days after we were born prematurely in 9 month.My grandma used to say...oh the doctors were so wrong, they thought you were going to have heart problems, and look at you running (I excelled at running), or I also heard from her that when we were born my sister was the one who doctor's thought would survive because she was bigger and she looked healthier.My dear grandma, bless her heart, she was the closest thing I had to a sister and I love her dearly...but I do remember those words and now I question them a lot.My dad having a huge panic attack in front of me but until ambulance came everyone thought it was a heart attack.My mom had a pancreas attack one night and again I was the only one there and it took ambulance 3 hrs to show up.All those memories have really messed up with my head.The second something hurts ir I notice a new blemish I get instant adrenaline shot through my body and right away I think the worst.I will be buying your program this month....I've had enough of this.I hope I can also get some one on one because even though I can't afford it right now, I can't afford not to.My life is slipping away and I don't want to wake up on my 90th birthday (my grandma lived till 90) and be still afraid of that heart skipping thinking it will kill me....

Susan Southwick Susan, you said it beautifully. Every day do you ask yourself how can I make tomorrow a better day. Maybe if I sleep really well tonight tomorrow will be better and I won’t feel this crazy. It is on auto pilot for me as well. But I’m also painfully and acutely aware that every day that goes by is gone forever and if I keep saying tomorrow will be better in the blink of an eye there will be no more tomorrow’s

Appreciate what you do. I've been having a rough time with anxiety symptoms for at least a year now. Headaches, body aches, unsteadiness, twitching, discomfort, chest pains, brain fog, jumpiness, the list goes on. I have a bad tendency to focus on my symptoms, almost like I anticipate it, then it appears and gives me a mini freakout. Panic attacks themselves are very rare for me, but I've had at least two. Instead what I get is miniature "spikes" of anxiety or stress, and it leaves me feeling like crap. I always spend too much time in my head over this and I just try to suppress it in vain that I'll feel better. Frankly, I'm scared to talk about it or to acknowledge that it's a thing at all, because it's horrific to think that you're afflicted with anything, mental or physical. I just feel on edge. What can I start doing to break free of this cycle I have? It's a living hell, Dennis. I want to be healthy and happy for the sake of my family and a daughter I hope to have. I'm barely 21 and this is no way for a man to live. Thanks, ~Alex

Last Dragonborn I can certainly relate, it’s debilitating emotionally and physically. It would take me some time to be able to explain the best processes and such to overcome this, truth is it’s not a linear road to recovery. I’d suggest gaining the proper understanding, mindset, support and skill sets needs to create desensitization and homeostasis in the body through this program: anxietyexit.com/my-program/ anything else will bandaid the problem and prolong your recovery. ❤️

Your video's are helping a lot. In a span of 5 months I got broken down to the core of my being, at an internship place no less. All of my values and morals didn't matter, and they made me feel worthless. Up to this day it has been affecting me in my professional and now personal atmosphere. Loss of concentration, forgetfullness and extreme tiredness. The odd thing is, my mind has completely separated from what I physically still try to practice. I used to be able to be very meticulous and focussed. My words and actions don't match. You are helping me to realign my mind back to myself. Baby steps, but it is helping. Thank you.

@mattmanley7118
@mattmanley7118 4 года назад
If it's any consolation mine cropped up 6 months ago and I'm willing to accept now I must accept that my hearing is completely fine and it is being caused by something else that's something else is my anxiety disorder that has completely run rampant and I must learn to control it whether that's through medication or not there's no shame in medication scary part is finding the right medication but this channel has already helped me so much. There's a clear link between tinnitus development and stress but it can get better but you must learn to control your stress and anxiety That's a fact in fact most cases of tinnitus go away 90% of them once the underlying issue is dealt with for a while I thought I just had this strictly deal with my tinnitus and then it was strictly deal with my muscle pain and then my heart pain.. The physical symptoms are almost a lie and you have to deal with the anxiety The anxiety wants you to believe that the physical symptoms are going to kill you it's not true no matter how strong the physical symptoms are anxiety must be dealt with and then everything else will dissipate but it takes time and I'm willing to accept that

Very Well Done Dennis for this excellent product! You did a good job on that person, Bravo! I read about this phenomena in a book of the author which I follow and which you also know. He call this phenomena the '' life continuum'' . It seems that a person often when for example loves a parents like mother, father or grandmother and later on this terminal for example dies or get sick or for a reason or another goes away then that person unconsciously takes the same qualities, attributes, illness of that parent or even a friend as an attempt to make the life of that person to continue. He goes in that valence. ( means takes that he take that '' dress'' and start to act like the person he used to love, including all the aberrations of that person). So in a few words he tends to copy that person. Its a very strange phenomena. Yes definitely its so strange the power that the mind has over the body. Anyway carry on and continue your good work. Ciao! Man! .

Dennis I just feel stuck this one symptom I just cannot loose and it is the most frustrating thing in the world and I’m comfortable with it I sit in Jt and let it be I can remember where and how this first occurred I just could use your help to break this cycle I am in everyday. I feel reframing could help me get over this dizzy woozy anxiety symptom when around large groups of people or levels of extreme stress.

Joseph Mercado Joseph if you work with an nlp specialist he can help regress you to the time and place that has everything to do with that symptom. Or he can help to get you to detach from the current story related to it, many skill sets by difficult to do these on your own in the beginning.

Hi Dennis. Love your videos. I've been having a growing issue where I'm getting muscle cramp attacks over my whole body after sports/exercise. I too play tennis like you, and I've had anxiety/depression issues my whole life. I was feeling ok for many years but my anxiety has been really bad the past year - hypchondria, constant fear, fear I'm going into psychosis, developing schizophrenia etc. Anyways, I used to play tennis tournies even 3-4 years ago and I could play 2-3 matches on a Sat and another couple on a Sunday. As time has gone on, I'm getting more and more muscle cramps. I'm not talking a calf muscle cramp, I'm talking after I've stopped playing, especially when it's hot out, within 10 minutes I start to feel liquid running through my whole body (assuming this is lactic acid). Then, 1 by 1, my muscles start cramping/pulling and it's absolutely brutal. It lasts upwards of an hour and I fall to the floor, absolutely defenseless... 1 muscle cramps, and you go to stretch it out and another 1 goes, and another. It's a full on assault and it's horrifying - and all I can do is try and find a position to lay/sit etc that things slowly calm down. It's so bad I want to call an ambulance but I always just avoid it. Anyways, my anxiety in my life has grown exponentially and the past year I'm totally going through issues. The cramping thing is just a part of the big picture, but now, I can play even just 1 hour and I feel the cramp attack coming on - so I've now developed a fear of playing sports because my tolerance has decreased. Before I get people commenting, I: drink lots of water the night before, the morning of, during the sport and after. I stretch (never cold). I get lots of sleep. I drink an electrolyte powder mix to make sure I have lots of potassium, magnesium etc. I drink salt water, eat an additional banana. It's fricken ridiculous. I've had blood work done and no doctor can figure out why I have full body muscle cramps, and I've NEVER met somebody else with this issue. So back to my first question: can an anxiety disorder cause this? I've never heard of anybody else with this so I'm completely besides myself because sports were one of the few things I enjoyed doing so I now feel hopeless. Love from Canada - Mike. 41, Male.

Hi Dennis so iv been watching your videos and I understand that I am not my anxiety and that my mind and my body are just trying to keep me safe from a time when I felt shooken up and in that time im seeing that I didn’t understand what I was going through which led me to waking up in panic around the time of 3-4 am everyday bc I was scared and worked up from a situation that occurred that I didn’t understand but when I told people about it they ended up making it worse with their stories and from their I couldn’t sleep which lead to my first panic attack which I had never experienced before which scared me even more bc I freaked out about having a paining attack then even called the police and road in the back of an er truck to the hospital for them to tell me I’m fine that all it was was a panic attack but instead of learning from what I was going through I took it hard amd personal and from then I couldn’t sleep went to confide in the doctors a couple more times and was let down and disappointed bc they would suggest pills and what not so I decided to seek therapy and she helped me through it for the most part and I began to read more self help books to help my self and talk to my grandma mom dad uncle cousin boyfriend friends whoever I could in order to help me get pass my struggle of anxiety symptoms and looking back I feel like through it all I was just scared and believed the worst case that everyone was telling me and felt misunderstood and worried and felt as if one thing bad was going to happen at 3-4 in the morning but I remind myself it’s not true I just want to be able to feel confident enough to let myself sleep without waking up in confusion or even caught up in panic and anxiety bc I notice when I wake up at 3 or 4 and I go back to sleep I wake up in panic and anxiety and it only goes into my day and makes me feel overwhelmed and stress and I remind myself that I’m okay but I think it starts from the moment I go to sleep and wake up in early in the morning

I'm watching this on 2 May 2019. I was desperate for something to hold on to and found this video. I'm in a bad place at the moment. But listening to this, I realise that from small, my mother was always sick, at the doctor, taking us to the doctor, telling us we can die from something, she's dying, etc. She's 90 and I'm 53. Clearly she's not died from anything yet. And I'm sitting with health anxiety because of her. I'm sitting here with tingling and cramping legs, sore joints and muscles and a huge fearful lump in my throat. Thanks a lot, mother.

Great video Dennis was wondering sometimes my anxiety appears to go away never completely of course but other times no matter what I do it just rears its ugly head and comes out of nowhere there's days I feel like I'm going to crawl out of my skin I'm severely anxious some nights and can hardly sleep is this normal for anxiety to come from nowhere after periods of feeling really well?

For me anxiety as always been in Solar plexus. Now it runs away, cause i Do Reiki on myself, which never worked, even with 10 other practitionner, to the Heart chakra and sacred chakra. And it's a strong feeling, you do not want to talk, see anybody, go out. I had 2 tough, 2 years episode, (25 years i have generalized anxiety) where i wanted to die cause it was hurting too Much mentaly and physiquely. The other symptoms are, for me, panick attacks. But Most of the Time it's only a big influx of adrenaline and my legs and arms are numb. Very scary. I tried EVERYTHING! Name it, i tried it. And everytime it was going to be the thing to help me ( in my mind). Nope! I know have Chronic fatigue plus fybromalgia. Been 2 years. I didn't get the message with anxiety so There you go, more things to deal with and i've been Working on myself for 20 years, Everyday but didn't find the recipe. Now, i am on my 5th Day of listening to i am affirmations. 4 from you plus other ones. This is it!! I'm telling you, enough and i'm going to get through this. Thank you for your videos. You are very aporeciated 🌸💜

Hey Dennis, my anxiety began following my first panic attack during the summer, which I believe occurred due to overexerting myself during my workout. Since then I had kept my anxiety under wraps but leading up until final exams it came back full force and strongly affected me, but thankfully I was able to take my exams. On some days I would not want to leave the house, and on a few separate occasions while driving I did have a panic attack. While I am feeling better now, I do feel I have an underlying worry that another panic attack may occur but I try to reassure myself that all is well. I have never experienced anxiety like this before the panic attack though and I hope to return back to how I was prior to that event.

Hey man, same boat. I had my first panic attack a few days ago and ended up in the ER because I thought I was having a heart attack. I experienced severe heart palpitations, shortness of breath, and felt like I might pass out. When I arrived at the ER, they did the full battery of tests (EKG, echocardiogram, blood, x-ray) and found nothing. Was dismissed after about 16 hours of monitoring. Looking back, it's actually quite laughable, and I try to "reframe" it that way (as funny) to disassociate the negativity and the fear from it. It's only been a few days and I've been Googling and reading like crazy to try to understand what was going on, and I eventually came to fully realize that it truly was all in my head and that I didn't have a heart or lung problem. This single perspective change has made a big difference and I already notice myself getting better at being able to deal with negative anxious feelings. I've also been heavily supplementing magnesium to get my stores back up to decent levels. I had absolutely no idea how crucial magnesium was to depression and anxiety when I was doing my reduction diet (cut out all plant foods, so didn't have any bananas or avocados or anything rich in mag). Because I was severely magnesium deficient and had gone through an extremely stressful emotional event the night before, it brought my anger and stress levels to a point I haven't experienced since college. I'm currently 30 so this absolutely slaughtered my magnesium levels and put my mineral balance way out of wack, especially after weeks of barely any in my diet. I woke up with palpitations stronger than ever, and due to over-obsessing about antinutrients in the broccoli I was eating (since I was re-introducing it back into my reduction diet and was worried it might cause a reaction), it triggered a panic attack. As of today, I've been constantly triggered (wow, never thought I'd seriously use that word considering I always make fun of SJW's using the term to describe the feeling they get when listening to others' opinions) throughout the day, and have been able to successfully calm myself down each time. I vocally talk to myself rationally and tell myself that "nothing is going on, this issue is a lie, my health and body are fine; my brain is just temporarily confused about a perceived threat and it's needlessly putting me into fight-or-flight mode; I'm young and healthy and there's absolutely nothing wrong; I will eventually heal and overcome this by disassociating". As silly as it sounds, talking to yourself out loud gives your mind something else to focus on and calms down the automatic anxious responses. Just make sure your electrolyte levels are in balance; get enough magnesium and potassium from bananas, coconut water, vitamin water, avocados, chocolate, nuts and seed, etc. and with some rational thinking and relaxation techniques, it will help reduce the fear. Hopefully, over time it becomes nothing. Good luck to everyone on this journey. There are indeed sunny skies ahead. If you take care of your body it will take care of you.

@@XSilvenX Thanks, I almost expected this to be a big TL;DR joke because of the Jimmy Rustles lol, but it was very enlightening. I am 30 also, and haven't exactly been checked out by a doctor in a bit but considering it more lately. Best of luck to you! I will look into what you mentioned and see how it helps out.
@XSilvenX
@XSilvenX 5 лет назад
@@mr.dodosoft6952 I don't think the doctor is important unless you need to be told that you're completely healthy. If you're 30 and have been eating fairly decent, you probably don't have any physiological reasons for your symptoms. They're likely caused by anxiety.

2007- notice tightness when golfing, hard breathing. Today suffering for 5 years, tugging sensation in esophagus, shallow breathing, faintness, worse when driving, or exertion. Notice in 2013 as I ran breathing became more difficult after 10 minutes. Once in a while I feel normal. Doctor prescribed Effexor after complete body scan showed nothing. I was on Citalopram for 1 year, did absolutely nothing.

Dennis how would you approach anxiety about flying? I have had a fear of vomit since age 4 (haven’t actually thrown up 23 years) but planes feel like a baby roller coaster. But idk if I’m just making it worse in my head, and painting pictures of something so awful and it’s not. So kinda related to health anxiety. I haven’t been able to fly without benzodiazepines. Lol. I hate the buildup of anxiety days before! For something so silly...

Hey Dennis. If I order an hour of 1 on 1 coaching on your website, how exactly do we go about scheduling it? Do you have a rough idea of what your schedule generally is? Also, is the program on your website specifically for health anxiety, or will it treat any anxiety in general? Amazing video I wanted to ask something if u can answer to that please I will be so thankful the question is that as u say that each symptom is connected to some past memory and we will have to re frame them or see them from a different positive way or finalize them by thinking at deeper level that past memory that we think can be causing some symptom .. but what if we can not find that exact memory that is causing symptoms or if we find some bad memories from past that we think that can be causing symptoms then we reframe them or understand them at deeper level think about them in positive way and finalize them by learning something from them but after that if we still keep feeling the symptoms what does that mean ? That means that the main point or main memory is still missing we can’t find it ? There is still something to be solved from our past memories? I am confused about it because I tried it and am confused in this point. Please answer this question
@TheAnxietyGuy1
@TheAnxietyGuy1 6 лет назад
Raza Malik Hello. If the memory that may be linked to the sensation is not found, create a deeper understanding through knowledge about symptoms of anxiety and place a neutral meaning towards the symptom as it arises. I like to use the term respond rather than react, to step back and analyze rather than react in an emotional way that would trigger further sensations. ❤️

JojoJazzyDaddy Every intervention is different and yes if the conscious mind tries to break up the progress consistently, hypnosis is a great way to go directly to the origin.

I have had anxiety for about 3 years on and off now. I am a college student and play college basketball but my anxiety controls my life. For instance, I almost didn’t play my sophomore year in college because I had these terrible chest pains in the pre season and got them checked by a cardiologist and did all the tests just to find out I have hypertension. Although the doc put me on medicine for it I’m convinced it’s from anxiety. I am 20 years old and in shape. I don’t understand why I have high blood pressure. The doc says it could be genetic because my parents have it, but none of my 3 siblings have it. If it truly is high blood pressure and I just have high blood pressure, the symptoms accompanied by it are worse than the condition itself. I know I’m not going to have a heart attack or anything, my cholesterol is fine and my heart is totally normal and functioning, but when I feel these symptoms of chest pain and jaw tightness, I really do ignore it and I’ve gotten pretty good at it, but it effects my mood. While I know nothing is going to happen to me it just annoys me that I still feel this way. I think to myself why me. Why do I deserve this. I live a healthy lifestyle to be rewarded with this? When I use to have bad anxiety to the point where I didn’t want to get out of the house or exercise because I felt like I was going to die, I am over that. I do not have any fears of going places or doing things but still I have these symptoms of anxiety! It is absolutely crazy. Every day I either have jaw pain and chest pain and if not that it’s back pain. I really feel like I am losing my mind. Basically what I’m most wondering is, can anxiety cause High blood pressure and the symptoms I am feeling?
