Just an after run update 👍. Truck is extremely durable. Noticed a bent rear chassis ear, had to remove the the button head droop screw (probably had a rock landing). Also stripped the front plastic tower brace rod end (gorilla taped for now) and lost the plastic chassis tab on the rear plastic chassis brace (swapped on a HR alloy one). Ended up cracking the front left toe link, same side I side landed on. This truck takes a serious beating 👀. Unless you're doing huge ramp sends to flat ground, it doesn't need heaps of hop ups. Handles far better with this widened stance for my preference anyways 😍. Props to ARRMA for switching to M4 button head droop screws with spacers 😱 and revising their pillow balls with longer shaft machine threads for better grab. Didn't notice during my unboxing 🍻

Hey rich, have you run the vitavon bulkheads yet? I've been looking into them and everyone says to get that instead of hr. Would love your opinion though haha
I bought 8s Vitavon bulkheads awhile ago, but haven't ran them yet. My Hot Racing 6s ones have done excellent for years. I run the HR case with stock diff covers. Just tried the Basherqueen 7075 6s bulkhead and it did awesome too 😍

Thanks Michel 🤗. You're gonna love the FT 1/7 😍. Stock electronics have been doing Killer 👍. Absolutely no issues. The HW 1650 4985 will have WAY more torque 💪. It might not clear the rear hand brake servo though🤔. Not certain, but may have to remove or reposition 90° which would involve drilling new servo mount holes. I'm honestly not even using mine. It works great, just not accustomed to using a rear brake. 😎💪👊👊

Ohhhhh no doubt Brother 😍. The stock tires are faster wide out, but the Backflips are more up to task for drifting, jumping, and less high siding in mixed terrain 👌. It's near impossible to beat a motocross inspired tread for all around bashing 🍻😎💪👊👊

Looks like there's some high end dirt bash facilities out in cali. Nothing like that in good ol Illinois. Just cement skate parks with cameras and signs that say. NO RC CARS. Anyways so you've got some cool places to bash. Btw, are the places you bash owned by the park district or the city? Thx. .
Definitely have some cool spots around here. That said, most BMX tracks and jump parks here don't allow RC 😝. My friends and I search high and low to find places where we won't get hassled by security or facility operators. Some places we visit are city or county property. In general, 4 wheeling, motocross, and other dirt sports are popular in CA. Most cops, rangers, and other authority understand and respect the fun factor of what we're doing in the hobby. 🍻

I thought the fireteam came with the Kraton hubs. I bought the notorious 6S and converted to more than the Fireteam with parts I had. It was on sale for $480.
The Fireteam came with Talion/Typhon hubs. Not really sure why. Adding Kraton hubs, hexs, and stub axels added a good amount more wheel clearance and width. 🍻
The tires likely get better forward traction in the reverse position, but I had reversed sides on accident while adjusting my pillow ball retainer nuts 😂. As much as I like the Tactical tires, the Backflips afford better, more forgiving handling with improved air control and driftability. 🍻😎💪👊👊
This rig looks better and better, not everyone likes the fire team dudes but I think they're awesome! im still building my Tekno mt410 but this one might be next.

How the heck do you keep your diffs from stripping when you hit the brakes in the air I have problems with mine more then I should I watched all Your diff vids and follow up them to the letter including the tekno shims
Hitting the brakes mid-air doesn't bother the diffs. Landing on throttle and doing standing backflips or self-righting puts serious strain on the gears. In general, keeping momentum and even wheelspin on landings keeps the gears happy. I try not to run heavy wheels either. You might have a cracked or stripped diff case if you keep stripping gears 🤔. That allows the gears to lose proper mesh under load. I generally start with a snug mesh between the ring and pinion (2-3 bearing shims) on the ring gear side bearing and let my gears settle in. Using a high quality marine grease is critical. I run NanoProMT is my top pick. 🤗

I'm also ok with some negative camber for better cornering. I might've added a small washer to the upper A arms under the pillow balls. 😎💪👊👊
It just cosmetics to me personally. The cage works Killer integrated with the bumpers and frame 💪. Definitely serves the function side of things and lets the car roll back onto it's wheels most times 😎💪👊👊
The 1st spot was back in the 4x4 area of Prairie City OHV. 2nd spot was Richards Blvd and 7st near the light rail station. It's probably mudded at right now because it's a water catchment area. 😎💪👊👊

It's probably near 50mph out of the box. I almost always go straight to a 16T pinion because I know the electronics have more potential and still run safe temps. The stock 12T just doesn't do it for me. 😎💪👊👊

I am crossing my fingers that Arrma has a Kraton XL up their sleeve, because this drives really well 🤩 I will say that it seems to always land on its feet! It's got insane obstacles and mud pits that only raised custom crawlers and MT's could handle. We actually have more gnarly spots for that like the nearby Rubicon trail. These are the 6s Backflips. The 4s Backflip LP's have a smaller sidewall and tire diameter. They rip too. I ran them on my Orange Darling XL for several runs and have used them on my Talion for about 2 years off and on. 🍻😎💪👊👊

Yes they are, but the tire hooks up better in reverse direction and speed isn't affected. I honestly prefer the Backflips these days. Better overall control and no edge to increase tip overs. 🍻

First love the channel gives a ton of food for thought on set ups. Was that Prairie City in the first section? My son is stepping up to 1/5, 1/7 scale cars and looking for a more open area to run. If you don't give out locations I'm good with that. It looks like you could take a lot of different types of rigs out there. We use to go Elk Grove park bike park, then to many people started to show up with RC's. And its to cramped for anything over 1/8 scale.

Arrma does such amazing job. Every new release they I corporate something new like the body cage or the m4 screws. They definitely listen. I think that looks so sick being wider and it really fits it scale. I can only imagine how much fun it is to rip now. It's been nice to still be able to get the backflip Lps. Every RC can be broken regardless of brand Alex 🤗. I run standard ARRMA diffs with Mugen Seiki E0209 planetary shims and 2-3 Tekno #1222 shims on the front and rear crown gear side bearings 👍. Rarely do I have a diff problem. Actually prefer that over the EXB LSD diffs. 😎💪👊👊

M2C switched to doing periodic sales instead of a full-time coupon code. I think this was due to materials cost rising plus a massive investment in new CNC machines to keep up with demand and turnaround in a timely manner. Not sure when they'll post the next sale. 😎💪👊👊

I remember in 99 we got a whole bunch of the 2 seat and 4 seat small 4x4 gators to the experiment with to see if they would be of any help while we trained in the woods. But being in a light infantry Air Assault unit them little gators were more troublesome than anything. They constantly broke down and we quickly stopped using then in the field. Not complaining or comparing the gators we experimented with to the Strike vehicle just sharing an experience. Hell i was a member of the Strike Brigade lol.
