One of the BEST reviews hands down! love you shared your Opinion as just that.. your opinions with Facts backing it up! thanks for sharing, would love to see the Losi 1.6 Super Baja Rey review one day! Thanks
Nice location, cool music, awesome car 😎🤙🏻 My must-have list get's longer and longer 😜 Btw...nice and informative review as always. I like your pro/con style mixed with the action vids and the music 😉👍🏻
For those of you complaining about the military men inside the car rounding out the Fireteam theme... I encourage you to think about whom has up help your freedom all these years? Whom was there taking care of your country while you were working the privileged 9 to 5 life that you have fooled yourself into thinking is difficult. You haven't seen nothing yet. Those who have served will never talk down on this theme and I welcome to inspire you to be the same. #MilitaryUnderstands #DontLookDownOnUSa #ThereisNoWeInMilitary
Good review bro. Well balanced 👏 I've never had an issue with the diffs on my 2 Arrma 6s rigs. Never added a shim, I've just run them out of the box. Cheap replacement parts from JRC when they do go I guess. Maybe then I'll add a shim or 2.
Thank you for posting the cons of this vehicle., as very few have. It's currently on sale for $399, so I think I'll get one for that price, but definitely not $750
Great review...I broke down and bought one and haven't used it to much but I do like it a lot, I do like the XMAXX more, but running both together is awesome....
Great work on this video and I like the drone footage at the end. Would it behoove people to simply REMOVE the hand brake? If removed, does that throw off the car's balance?
It is VERY durable! I was racing a Nissan Maxima on the street and got drug underneath of the MaximaGound the EXB arm and cracked my rim. Replaced the ball joint and thats it! Tough vehicle!
What a great looking RC!! I have to get one. I have a Kraton 6s but this thing right here looks like it has a lot of unique features all in 1. Ground clearance plus speed?? I need it!!
I've yet to kill my diff on the Notorious 6s, and I haven't really been maintaining it since getting the 8s. I did shim it, install aluminum housings and cases, but haven't done anything in over a year. It's been sitting for some time now, things sound squeaky, but diff are fine. I did kill an internal gear on the rear diff on my 8s, but that was over a year of use, maintained...but not like they suggest.
I just bought this and waiting for it now. Great review. I never even thought about the point you made with not being able to tell if it's facing at you or away from you at a distance but it totally makes sense. From everything you said it seems like a solid vehicle, with some drawbacks of course, but should be great. I was wondering have you swapped out for a stronger servo and were any mods needed to make those bodies work? Seems like a nice platform with a lot of ways you can take it.
Great Rc truck and awesome review thanks for the info but for that price just save some $$$ and get the XMAXX, the XMAXX still is the king of the hill on durability how easy is to work on and aftermarket parts galore. The customer service is always on point either for asking questions, replacing warranty parts or buying parts. and before buying anything they always recommend to visit your local hobby stores and that's my 2cents but other than that the arrma fireteam is looking 👌
How smooth is the ride quality? I was looking at the UDR because it's big enough to fit camera equipment inside it and meant to emulate the Baja trucks which are designed to take bumps smoothly and I wanted to start doing FPV videos around my town with it...Only major issue with the UDR in my case is the tendency to roll over which means I'd need a spotter to follow me around just in case...Not much fun for content.
It's a cool buggy but I don't think I would get one. It's a bit to big for the places that I go most of the time. I agree with you about the hand break feature, not really needed in a 4wd rig. On 2wd yes they work great for fast turns and doughnuts. We had hand breaks on our old dune buggy and it was a blast.
Always respect your independence. Horizon Hobby has 90% of RC 'reviewers' in their pockets - it's so bad that I basically don't watch RU-vid 'reviews' anymore.
Great review! I also just bought this on sale. 1. Needs a wing 2. Arrma must fix their diff problems in their vehicles 3. Useless hand brake I am quite sure a version 2,3, and 4 are coming out.
@@orion000 They are hit and miss. Alot of people crunch the diffs on first run (Manufacturing not consistent maybe). I have seen online some people crunch the traxxas diffs too, so I don’t think it just an Arrma problem, maybe just more common.
I think the handbrake is a hit or miss. Some people love it, some people think it's not needed at all. Also, I've never had diff issues with any of my Arrma actually. I bash pretty hard too. But I guess if people have issues, then they have issues, but I think if you Shim them right, you won't have issues.
What do you mean re shim? On the diffs do the little shims have issues? Out of all the components on the diff how on earth are the thin metal shims the weak link?
Hi! Best reviews about RC cars, i 've seen! 5 Pro's & 5 Con's... Short 'n sweet... I like that much! 😎 😉 😁 What i understand: 1. It is an typical Arrma - RC!!! 2. Easy to drive, it's for driving, not so an show - car(the 4 GI's ARE for show! 😁) 3. A little bit better than the older models BUT: 4. They 've don't fixed the annoying MAIN PROBLEM(the most complicated problem, i think) : the Front and Rear Differentials/ a QUALITY(China!) & CONSTRUCTION(USA? 🤔) problem... For a "full - time - RC - gay" (or so🤙😎) with enough spare time it is not so important... They know that and fix that... BUT : Frustration in(/at the) the typical rc costumer (with not so mutch experiance)... Do you see the MIGHTY gap in the market? ( for CNC machined 7075 aluminium solid beefy diff housings, WITH completely measured Diff's inside, ready to bolt on) The ARRMA modular System... All these Arrma's need this... 😉 😎 👍
Doesn’t make sense to give it that transmitter when they are providing such a nice radio on all of their other vehicles at this price point. I hope this isn’t a trend that continues. I’ll be looking for a sale this holiday season or something but $750 just seems a bit much.
Grabbed this when Arrma put it on sale for $399. I mean just fantastic of Arrma and Horizon when they do this for their fans. Just amazing price drop sales on their great vehicles unlike dumb Traxxas that gives free light kits on over priced vehicles….big whoop Traxxas….smh We just run and slide outs around on gravel and loose dirt. It’s just awesome!
Don't know if I'm completely sold on this machine bit rich for $700usd I'm Australian so that's nearly $1400 to me haha... though it definitely seems to perform and that video work was great Frances good work mate👍👍👍
@@brcoutlook1482 oops, didn't mean to correct you. Thought you were just converting $700USD to AUD 👍 I'm a noob to modern lipo powered RC. just dipping my toes now. Have a crawler on the way. Want a drone for fishing bait drops and can see something like this or similar in the near future. Hearing the same negatives repeatedly about weak diffs. I don't and won't be competing, but I don't want to spend shit loads on repairs over n over 😒
@@orion000 I have 2 now and they are both great. Replaced front bearings as they do blow out. Then I chose to upgrade the turning and ebrake servos.. Purchased some Backflips 6s and the rig is doing great.
worth it at 750? how about 399? hell to the yeah! Amain had them on sale for a while and I scooped one up. love it cannot beat it at that price! Great video as usual
I bought one for 399. For the size, performance, durability, and otb bash ability. I would have paid the release price. It’s bigger than it’s competitors, and they were going for over 600. The E revo and Sledge also a few others
Wow professional! I don't know where from comes Arma ( China?) I hear about this brand since two or three years and in this short time they made a lot. Erupting tons of different "good" models using few parts and mixing them (more economy in production and faster new realization). There is something that doesn't convince me, it seems they are in hurry to keep the market rather supply a precious product. Any how, guns a part, a good rc. Ciao Nanni
Yeah, they have a modular design and they keep reconfiguring to come up with interesting vehicles, This is quite good unlike the terrible Arrma Talion.
I just ordered one. The new $669 price point makes it way more attractive; not sure I'd be willing to spend $750 on it. Plus I had to spend $439 for a charger and two 3S batteries. Ouch.
WHEN I FIRST SEEN THIS VEHICLE I REALLY DIDN'T LIKE IT. AFTER SEEING IT SEVERAL TIMES AND WATCHING LOADS OF REVIEWS. I HAVE CHANGED MY MIND. ESPECIALLY NOW I KNOW I CAN REMOVE THE GUNS. THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO SIR.🇬🇧🇺🇸🕊️✌️👍
i wasnt a fan of it either at first nor did i like the guns but the first week of the release i got to drive it at my local hobby shop and it handles amazing, will definitely want this in the future
Mojave EXB is the staple! This one may be good as a second vehicle or if the Mojave body is not fancy enough. Maybe this one to compete with the scale of the Traxxas UDR.
$750 plus sales tax for a rebadged Mojave & Kraton that is only suitable as a light basher. Poorly weight balanced. Very expensive body with many weak plastics. No thread lock on motor mount screws. Very cheap wheel bearings. Hand brake really is not necessary. When I saw this, I question who the customer is, and I still don’t know. $200 too expensive. Pass.
Not a bad analysis. :) That's why I felt compelled to review against all those 'near perfect' reviews when only the insiders could get it. But running it, I see that it has merits. The pricing is the same as the Talion which is $750 and is probably their pricing for new 1/7 scale. Body is rugged and my motor mounts are fine, I checked after 5 runs.
