[ Content information ]
1. Cannon
- Main Canon: Canon with a focus on defence and territorial expansion
- Sub Canon: Canon that can concentrate on firepower. The sub canon fires a missile if it synchronizes with the main canon when main canon fires a missile. The synchronization probability can be increased by upgrading
2. Upgrade System
- (Main) Speed : Increases missile speed
- (Main) Bounce : Increases the number of missile bounces
- (Main) Extra + 10 : When launching a missile, fire an additional 10 missiles (multiplly not applied)
- (Main) auto + 2 : Increases the number of automatic missile charges by 2 every 10 seconds
- (Sub) Synchro : Increase the probability of synchronization with the main canon
- (Sub) Bomb : Increase the blast range
- (Sub) Piercing : Increase the number of block penetrations
- (Sub) Impetus : Increases the missile's acceleration
3. If an enemy missile falls near the main canon, the defense mode is active until the enemy block is removed. During defensive mode, the main canon attacks the nearest block and the camera zooms in
4. The Aim system determines the attack direction of the sub canons
5. If only two colors remain, the main screen will be replaced with a full view

The way defense mode worked in this was great. Having the aim be at the closest enemy hex was perfect for giving colors a way to hold on without giving them a massive offensive buff.

Also, if the enemy’s main cannon is dead, it becomes only a sub cannon to the colour that killed it.

Yeah, it’s a pretty cool idea. Usually in this genre when someone’s cannon dies it just vanishes or becomes a second cannon; turning it into a subcannon is so satisfying.

Everything is in a good place. The camera movement, mechanics, battles back and forth, defence mode, attackes are just perfect. Not too simple nor too complicated. Well done. (Spoilers below) (Blue just having a bad luck this time which is sucks and Purple just got messed up after being violently attacked by Lime. And I can't believe how Red just turned the table very quickly. I mean REALLY quick.)

The camera zoom is absolutely brilliant and the upgrade system is impressive. Also, is it just me or are each of the four camera views tinted based on the color there? Because if so that’s a cool detail.

Yes, I put the tint in the camera to match the color. It's because it's more readable if I put in tint :)

This is actually amazing. Its pretty in depth with mechanics and upgrades. Also the defense mechanic that takes some of the RNG out of not getting defeated is great.

Never expect for the showdown to be that fast. You do care about every aspect of your game and make it truly perfect. Loving it. And one more thing to say here: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO BLUE why you lose :( (on the technical side... i guess you have had a lot of pain writing your custom tracer script?)

Not gonna lie, I've wanted to see something in this category with capturable cannons for some time now; more or less since I saw a Lost Marbles Battle Royale and wished it was how the defeated colors work (i.e. their starting cannon gets captured by whoever beat them, and then they function as sub-cannons from then on); actually this reminds me of Lost Marbles in a few ways, which is in my opinion a good thing! Does make me wonder how this whole thing would fare with LM's signature Death Stars... Liked this implementation; having the cannons both not care about the multiply value and snap to a chosen enemy makes them feel distinct from the main cannon which in turn means they can do more work for colors when their main cannon is struggling (due to not hitting multiply often enough, for instance) Defence mode is very cool, with how it doesn't offer any actual extra power but rather improves aim; avoids a lot of the pitfalls of crisis modes from MIKAN videos of times past while still maintaining the effect of preventing players from getting overwhelmed in silly/cheap ways. Hexagonal territory war is neat, the color design/balance I reckon is kind of underappreciated, too. Choice of colors/shades does a lot to make this visually appealing. Absolutely love the zoom-in map implementation, too. That's quickly becoming a favourite feature of mine for your videos, since it shows off both the game as a whole and the correct zoom for actually seeing what's going on, whatever that might be at a given moment. Overall a very solid execution of fundamentals; a different but equally compelling kind of video to the super-fancy Egyptian Mythology slugfest.

red went on a rollercoaster of war, gaining a good amount of land in the beginning and having 4 close calls, 3 of them by purple, one by green and at the end when green saw this game of war was over, they were correct except they didn't expect red to come in with a successful assassination attempt.
