There isn't a couch. We're all sitting in separate chairs in kind of an L shape. Tim's seat and mic is in the center, Chugga's is to the left and still facing the TV, mine's a bit off to the side on the right.
2022 response to a 8 year old comment... I wonder why don't you guys do these videos old school anymore since Co Vit. That set up seems healthy and separate enough for proximity to be a problem though.
One man must survive the pressures of society demanding the degradation of his sanity. This summer... they push him too far... Internet Rage: The Movie!
Are you sure you couldn't have just positioned the recording equipment on a table in front of you and sat...uh... well.... ah, maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. Sorry Jon.
So basically, it is nearly midnight in the English timezone and I decided to watch some Wii Play LPs because I was going all night and I was in my room, I specifically watched this one, the other ones before that, and tried not to laugh my ass off aloud and wake up my parents so I laughed very quietly and oh my god! Jon, well done in failing in the first half and getting the unlucky number, 13, in the final scores whilst Emile was laughing along with the many viewers who have watched this and Tim for not realising that he only just got 1 and trying NOT to laugh! Great job you guys! *cough*play Sonic Lost World for Wii U*cough*
He's busy with college right now, and even then, there's so much gold in this video that I think it'd be hard to pick a single moment to animate (and the whole thing would just take him forever XD).
To the people complaining about Jon, try playing this game at an angle instead of facing your TV directly. The Wii Sensor Bar DOES NOT pick up the motions right at an angle 90 percent of the time. People really need to get their facts straight before they start bitching and moaning about everything.
Maybe don't go at an angle then? You can't do something that's obviously gonna hinder the chances of motion controls working then bitch about motion controls not working. That's like if I saw a PS4 at the price of 5 dollars somewhere online, brought it and then bitched that it didn't work. You only have yourself to blame if you brought a console for 5 DOLLARS expecting it to be a fully functional one. Just like how if you play with the thing that picks up the remote facing away from the remote you should expect that the motion controls will be hindered somewhat. Sorry but Jon only has himself to blame. And no, he shouldn't have started slamming motion controls in general just because he didn't have the sense to try and make the motion controlS work, and just saw they didn't work and went "oh it's because motion controls suck" rather then thinking "hmm...maybe the controls don't suck, but it's how I have my shit here set up that sucks". I personally don't like the Kinetic. But it's because despite making everything the best situation I could to get it to work, it still didn't work well most of the time. Not because I just slammed it on top of my TV and complained when this thing that obviously needs a certain type of set up didn't respond well because my living room was set up in a way that hindered it.
***** Before you write another paragraph, maybe you should rewatch the video. The way the recording was set up, and to where he was sitting, he was forced to play at an angle. I'm sorry, but if you have ever played this game before, you would know that the motion controls are terrible for this minigame. They obviously weren't programmed correctly, though in it's defense the Wii was the first time motion controls had been attempted. My point is this; the angle trajectory did impede the motion detector, yes, BUT the motion detector for this game's controls is already crap in the first place.
StormSnake0618 I'm not denying that, but that's no reason to start hating on motion controls IN GENERAL. Presides the point, if he was playing at an angle and that was making the motion controls even worse then it already was then complaining about the motion controls as if he's complaining about how bad they are while he's playing it normally is still an odd thing to do. I mean, that's like if I ordered something from a shit cafe, pissed all over all the food, then complained that the food tastes bad. The food may have tasted bad by default before I pissed on it, but complaining that it tastes bad as though I don't even seem to remember that I just pissed all over it is still a stupid thing to do. As is pissing all over the food, then complaining that all the food from every cafe in the world tastes bad, because by default the food I just pissed on tasted bad. Yeah, disgusting example I know. But you get the point right?
I can't stand when people say the game's controls are bad based on this. Did no one notice it controlling fine for Tim, or them saying IN THE VIDEO that it's because Jon is too far away?
Ikr, i've literally never had any problems irl with Wii motion controls, ever since 2007 when i got it. And i'm extremely honest with this. May my comments get erased and may i be banned from YT forever if i lie on this - just because this is the internet -. Granted they feela lil clunky and it depends on the bar postion, but theyhavealways been functional, they just require your movement adapting to them - they're well enough calibrated -
Jon, you're not alone. My family bought this game after I got my Wii for Christmas back in '08, and I was so frustrated with the motion controls for it I never bothered to pick it up again.
+Brandon Tackett They did back then too, as long as you're in the right position. Tim is lined up with the screen perfectly, but Jon is way off to the side.
You know, I’m kinda surprised there hasn’t been a billiards Mario Party minigame. It kinda seems like something that would be in the extras zone of MP8 (I’ve only played Mario Party 1, 2, 3, 4, Advance, 8, and 9)
Uhh.. I didn't have any problems with any of the gyms in the game, because I don't own the game. Where'd you get the message that I was having problems with Pokemon X/Y?
I know it's probably too late to tell them, but it is entirely the fact that he is not sitting in front of the sensor bar. Until the wii motion plus came out, it was all about how the wiimote responding to the sensor bar.
I love 9-ball because you can win the game at any time as long as you hit the lowest numbered ball on the table first and sink the 9-ball in the process. The game can end quickly with the right setup.
it just goes to show: chugga wishes and jon suffers, while others laugh, so the quote of the day is other peoples pain is our join (or anger to be more direct)
