Yeah it even makes it more true when the Wii allowed Gamecube discs to be played so people can play Gamecube games and the switch porting every Wii U game so people can play Wii U games

Cranky Kong, Dixie Kong, and Diddy Kong may very well be better to play than Donkey Kong just like the days of Super Nintendo. This sequel looks outstanding! Well done Retro Studios! I am holding my breath in anticipation! Game On!

Donkey Kong Country Tropic Freeze is confirmed to run at 1080p, at 60 frames per second. I hope PS4 and Xbox One owners don't feel cranky.

too bad it never ran at that speed because Wii u can't support that.

Tropical Freeze did NOT run in 1080p on Wii U. It ran at 720p at 60fps. On Switch, however, it *DOES* run in full 1080p when docked. Unfortunately it takes a bit in handheld and runs sub-720p.

After seeing that CGI intro, I thought maybe Retro Studios could work on a 3D Donkey Kong platformer. I believe that they could nail it.

I also want to praise the graphics, and Retro of course. DK's fur reminds me a lot of Tress FX used in Tomb Raider. This kind of rendering is extremely taxing on hardware, and DK's fur should really put to rest the haters of the Wii U's power.

Good gravy this game looks awesome. Those visuals look gorgeous, the levels look challenging and creative, and I am so glad David Wise is composing the soundtrack in this game.

TheMCNinjas Actually that's different. With Sonic we already had two MAJOR dissapointments before 06 in the form of Sonic Heroes and Shadow the Hedgehog. But NONE if the Donkey Kong Country games been bad, hell all of them are considered masterpieces.

1080p 60 fps was confirmed for this game. Pretty cool. One of the few cases where 1080p does make a difference. It's alot easier to see the incredible fur on the Kongs!

Okay, so, one question - are Diddy, Dixie, and Cranky exclusive to player 2? Does player one have to be Donkey Kong? In everything we've seen so far, it's been Donkey and someone else. We've never seen Diddy and Dixie together, or anything like that. If that's not possible, well, that's a very weird decision.

What most people don't know is that Cranky kong is the original Donkey kong from the 80's, and Donkey kong Jr. Is most likely the current Donkey Kong (Rareware's jungle DK) is DK Jr's son.

Donkey Kong Country 3 for Super Nintendo is the best game ever made of DK. Nintendo 64, Wii or Wii U never had or will have a DK game like that.

I'm guessing everyone knows what these special moves do. Diddy makes balloons, Dixie makes golden hearts probably making more hit points, and Cranky makes tokens. Also, that donkey kong and cranky kong bro fist.

Kid Icarus Gouken, Heihachi, Mr. Karate, Gen, Daruma, Oro, etc. Yeah man putting old men as fighters doesn't make sense. Oh wait they've been putting old men in fighting games before the genre even existed.
