24 hours after finishing the South West Coastal Path
(630 mile national trail starting in Minehead, Somerset. Walking Somerset, North Devon, Cornwall, South Devon and finishing at Haven Point, Poole Dorset)
To answer the question of what I carried and used a one take video of me unpacking my rucksack.
Apologies for the length of the video, I went as quick as I could 😊
Any questions of my equipment or anything else would be more than happy to answer.

Really useful and informative video! What tent were you using? My partner and I are planning to do two weeks wild camping along the swcp in june, and I need to buy a new tent but haven't decided which one to buy yet. We're also doing it on a bit of a budget so I don't want to be spending loads on a mega fancy tent, just one that does the job and is reasonably lightweight. Cheers!

Fanx for watching. Pack as lightly as budget allows. Don’t overstretch your distances especially first few days. Be prepared for down days. Be kind to yourself, it’s your journey. Through to Padstow was great, Lulworth is unmissable 😃😎

Thanks for the insight of your kit. Windcheater looked lightweight and breathable, good value too. Proper boots, no trainers for you. Do you know the total weight of your pack? Now subbed.

Just over 20Kg I was on a budget so gear was heavy but cheap 😃😎

@@IWanderUK Just finished that vlog. Looks like you had plenty of backups for your backups 😃 I think I was 22kgs plus food and water, way way too much. I guess you had to be ready for three season weather if you started in March. I am hoping to get down to 10kgs base weight without spending too much on super lightweight gear, the Lanshan 2 and the 2 and 3F UL GEAR Water-resistant Rucksack 40+16L at 850grms for £57.00.

Nice videos and an epic journey! Was your unigear sleeping pad good in cold weather? I’m planning on hiking some mountains here in Japan night time temperatures might dip below freezing at times…

It’s a bit on the heavy side. But it’s cheap. Had frosts several mornings never felt cold from ground and it’s tough 😃
