Bellandi is stronger technically. She enjoys more variety and she's catching Lanir with lower attacks in many of their exchanges. But as Lanir made the leap to the top we find her being very strong but also, with great battle sense. She's very quick to react to movements by opponents and in this fight, a slight opening became a huge ippon, one that Bellandi has in her head till now. Both are extremely talented and always go for the attack and are the best in this division.
It looks like Lanir was waiting for beilandi with that move and executed the plan to perfection. This will not happen a lot since the italian seems to be in a class of her own right now and if the ippon wouln't have been called Beilandi with her lightning fast knee attacks would have most likely won the match. A very good tactical work by the Israeli coach.
