All Achons have magical structures that they were assigned to protect and control, Nahida for Irminsul, and Nouvellete for the Hearth of the Sea, but Venti was the one assigned to protect the 'Gateway to Ceslestia', His the Gatekeeper. Venti will open it at the opportune moment, have preparations, and anticipations for other factions to jump in. The Khanreans knew about it that why they planted Kaeya as one of the Knights, Gold send Albedo, the Abyss Order trying to get in, Hexenzirkel themselves able to read the futures let events unfold

Tbh I’ve always viewed the Archons as high ranking inmates in a prison, that keep the population in line and the gnosis are like a marker of their status. Remember in the manga when Vanessa ascended to Celestia, it resembles a Roman colosseum. I don’t think that the archons were ever aligned with Celestia. I think when they were just elemental beings, Celestia forced them all to battle each other to decide who rule, and offered to give them the gnosis and title of archon, or Celestia would nuke the world and start over, giving the Gods AKA strongest elemental beings, no choice but to fight each other. From what we know so far, all elemental life on Teyvat came from the dragons. Meaning that the archons are beings that were created by the Dragon Sovereigns and not the Primodial one. Meaning they were always a threat to Celestia. What better way to keep the creations of your enemy under control than to make them fight each other for power, killing many in the process, and then keep them in line with a gnosis. I think that all the Archons can’t outwardly say it, but they are working with the Tsarita, by giving her the gnosis. Venti didn’t even use his power to stop Signora from taking his, when he uses his archon power, his hair glows but when you watch the scene, he makes some wind but no hair glow. Zhongli made a deal with Signora/Tsarita to give them the gnosis if they would help him fake his death and test his people. Raiden gave her gnosis to Miko who traded it to Scaramouche for the Traveler. Scaramouche then took it to Sumeru where he played into Dottore’s plan to have an audience with Nahida to get both the Electro and Dendro gnosis from her in exchange for the Fauti’s knowledge about the false sky. Focalors set up an elaborate ruse to free her people from the curse placed on them by Celestia, and to destroy the Hydro Archon throne, to return the powers of the hydro dragon sovereign, back to the hydro dragon. Then Hydro Dragon finds out the gnosis is a cursed dead body part vessel and gives it away to Arlecchino. None of the archons really tried that hard to keep their gnosis. I have a feeling they were either aware it was the body of the third descender or were made aware of that fact and were like “yuck take it”. I think they all have to give the outward appearance that they had the gnosis forcibly taken, but really were happy to be rid of the shackle that was the gnosis. Ei and Miko talking about the Great War that is coming makes me think that they know eventually the ruse will be up, and Celestia will move against them. I honestly think when the time comes they will be on the side that fights against Celestia. The prisoners are making a move to overthrow their captures.

Born to witness: Lumine Born to remember: Aether Lumine witnessed the cataclysm while Aether will remember everything. Lumine's part was frustrating on her POV since Venti, the Anemo archon was still in the verge of his silence. 1000 years before Aether woke up. So Venti plays a crucial role in the story since he completes the cycle of our journey where Lumine couldn't due to Venti's absence in her time.

Zhongli did say he was on vacation, not retired. So i can see him at least shielding his nation. Venti is stronger than he lets on and he lied to us in the very beginning, and he wasn't in khanrei'ah and all the mond lore that seems like the god of time (venti's mom) has something to do with near everything....i'm excited to see how things will map out. Oh, and the statue being the gateway to celestia in mond, and the tunnel connecting snezhnaya and mond under the goth grand hotel...wonder if they'll ever use that

If Irminsul itself does not become a battlefield, it is likely that Nahida can help whatever side she is on by providing communications. If anybody can coordinate a battle that spreads all over Teyvat, it's her. From sharing weaknesses of her enemies discovered in one place to soldiers fighting everywhere, to making sure there is no friendly fire. It might not look as cool as Zhongli and Raiden Shogun fighting on the front lines, but it will likely have greater effect on the outcome. Venti is certainly hiding something, but besides that, he is a master trickster. He can disrupt his enemies almost as much as Nahida can help her allies. The big question is, who would be his enemies? Because if it's the Primordial One alone, there isn't much Venti can do. But if it's hordes from the Abyss, it's a different matter. What Venti could be hiding? Anything, starting from a better version of Focalors' plan. Maybe he has already stolen the thrones, and hid them among the chairs of Hexenzircel's tea party tables. But the biggest thing is, people in Teyvat can be separated into two categories: those who don't know Tsaritsa's plan, and those who support it. So it is unlikely to be some hare-brained scheme like challenging the Primordial One head on.

We know from Nahida that Celestia has been quiet for 500 years since the cataclysm, then we show up, are capable of harnessing elemental powers without permission by any Archon and in the case of Mondstadt, were able to cleanse Dvalin’s tears from Abyssal impurities. Who better to pass on the message to Morax if not Barbatos. It’s no coincidence that Zhongli chose that particular year to fake his death. They are also very much aware of Paimon’s connection to the Primordial One, but refuse to outright say anything, because whoever is residing in Celestia right now, would probably not want for us the Traveler nor Paimon to regain our complete power. That’s also why our sibling now has an entry in Irminsul. Our sibling is probably not its own entity, but rather a hybrid existence or an extension of ourselves. How is it that our siblings sword remained mostly in tact while ours is dull? That’s because in order to regain our sword, we have to free our sibling from the shackles of Teyvat. The traveler’s true power is only attained once we resonated with all elements thus achieving the Omni element and once we free our sibling by deleting their entry in Irminsul. That’s why Archons like Barbatos, Morax and Buer were so eager to help us.

The reason why many believe that Zhongli is not dependent on Irminsul lies in his speaking lines. He also speaks of 2 original archons after the Sumeru Archon Quest. If he were affected he would have to talk about 3 original archons. It can't have been forgotten either, as the voice lines were changed to include small details. But not this part in particular. Furthermore, he entered Teyvat long before Irminsul was even installed. At least it shouldn't affect his memories until then. His fear is to be forgotten or eroded. And yes, he doesn't need the Gnosis. I think he hides very well that he is the most powerful being on Teyvat next to Neuvillette.

With the 2nd pick in the Archon draft, the cryo archon selects Ei from inazuma. Ei's offensive ability is what sets her apart from the rest of the archons.

The power level of the gnoses always confused me. I get it gives a power boost but they describe it as necessary for abilities these guys should already have. Like Zhongli was already the god of mora before the Archon war, he could apparently create so much of it so easily that it was easier to show humans how to build houses out of mora than any other material. Then why does he apparently need the gnosis to keep producing mora for Teyvat? The effect they have on their combat strength is weird too. Morax was the prime of the adepti and the warrior god who defeated “countless” gods in the archon war before he got the gnosis, why would he suddenly feel unable to defend Liyue without it? Unless it just takes them to a whole different level of power from the archon war, like it seems to with Venti, who was a very weak god during the war and afterwards could casually slice mountains and toss them into the sea.

Venti is soooo suspect remember during the poetry festival event in Inazuma he was having secret talks with Miko and we never found out what that was about could've been warning about the stuff we saw her discussing in the new event. We never found out what the stipulations for his contract was in exchange for the Gnosis. The Liyue people they probably might be the most capable ones after Sneznaya and maybe Natlan for a threat like that because we did see them improve and they were far more prepared when fighting Baisht then they were for Osail even if they need help from Shenhe to defend themselves they still managed to route her off and they're the only group of humans that we currently know to have done it. Nahida's big brain is probably enough of a contribution, tho not clear REDACTED did say that she may become and even Greater Dendro Archon then REDACTED

Zhongli safeguarded his Gnosis not to beat Osial. If Liyue wouldn't defeat him, he wouldn't give the Gnosis for ensuring protection in the future. I think he knew about coming war back then.

Given that something as powerful as the Primordial One came from beyond Teyvat as well as the other beings in the past, it is amusing to me that the Tsarista and the other Archons are willing to take the chance to overthrow Celestia given that there is still so much unknown about what's out there. One would think one of them would be smart enough to ask the Traveler what things lie beyond that could potentially be a problem for Teyvat.

I'm so interested to find out what the Gnoses really are and what they are going to be used for. I always thought it was odd that The Tsaritsa and the Fatui were taking the Gnoses by force but the Archon's never really put up much of a fight or cared about it. It is like they are ok with it happening but they can't just willingly give the Gnoses to her for some reason.

I think that they're just gonna dump their gnosis on her and let her deal with Celestia in the way she wants and if it spills over to their territory then Celestia would pretty much face a gauntlet match with a huge handicap.

"If they are still Archons" they are still Archons as long as they have the Sovereign Authorities. The Gnoses are technically separate from the whole Archon thing and are used not only as extra power boosts but also serve as a connection between the user and Celestia. With Celestia apparently not doing jack for 500 years it would seem that having this connection is kinda pointless, currently at least.

i only see the archons joining any war if the traveller wants them too be or needs them too be, because they are all close friends with the traveller. i don`t see them joining the tsarista`s ever. the fatui are the evil beeings so far in the story they made the archons there enemys, if the archons join there war it is only because the traveller wants them, they would only joining him not the fatui. we know till now that capitano is not as bad as the other fatui, i can see him going too befriend the traveler as well and left the fatui for good if the oportunity arises. then in sheznaya i can imagine we destroy the fatui completly, so that in the end the traveller is against celestia after we where going too khanrea and learn of the truth, and when we go against celestia we have all archons and dragons join us in that war against it. that is the way i can imagine it is going. join the fatui is no option for the traveler or the archons, because they are the main antagonist at this point in the game. i just don`t know how the abiss would fit in this, maybee they are joining us too i don`t know, because they are only a treat because of dainslef and if he can be thrusted i don`t know, dainslef is just sus in every way the same as venti is. as for now the fatui and the abiss are the enemys we have, even celestia is at this point no enemy we can think of fighting against storywise, because till now they didn`t too anything too everyone. yeah the sustainer was fighting us in the begging of the game, but till now celestia didn`t do anything too make us see it in any form of a treat too our friends and the entire country of teyvat. of course this can change but till now, there is no reason too think celestia is an enemy for us, the fatui and the abiss are the treat, and the abiss is only a treat if we want too believe what dainslef is telling us is true, he can be lying all along, there is no reason too trust him till now. in the end we must see how it goes and if something important is changing the perspective we have till now. the abiss is the wild card because they also didn`t doo anything really bad so that the archons and the people in teyvat know of them as an enemy. in no archon quest till now they are the main treat, only the fatui are and celestia also was no treat till now. thats how i see it fatui = enemy abiss = ? they didn`t do anything too the people and country`s of teyvat till now, we only see them enemys because of dainslef celestia = ? same as the abiss didn`t do anything too the people and the country`s of teyvat till now, we only see it as an enemy because of dainslef. i don`t take the history of teyvat into account because we didn`t see it or experienced it, and things we didn`t see or experience for ourselfs has not happend because of irminsul. so all i can take for granted is what we experenced in teyvat so far what we have seen in teyvat so far, everything else could be changed and altered by irminsul too fit the way it does now. we experienced how powerfull irminsul is how it can change the history in a way we thought it is not possible, so i wouldn`t be surprised if the history we can hear someone in teyvat is saying happend has not happend this way they tell us. the only person i trust what they tell us about the history is true is what ei has told us when we meet her, because she was outside of irminsul`s influence 500 years long her experience is the only one that couldn`t be altered by irminsul in that timeframe because she was in her realm the entire time outside of irminsul`s influence.

Like a true simp, I will mention that Venti has a shocking amount of knowledge related to whatever is happening. Since he let Signora take his gnosis (let's not act like he was not acting), he seemed to know the Tsaritsa and her plan well enough based on his first voice lines about her, said in the Mondstadt Archon quest if I recall correctly, his statue was taken by the Sinner, and there is no way he is not aware of that or didn't attempt to find out why, his songs carry stories from the future, he convinced the Hexenzirkel to let him be, and we all know that these crazy ladies wouldn't back off easily, and his statue is "The Gateway of Celestia" . Now, will HoYoverse do something with this? Still debatable, maybe not, but he can definitely contribute in this regard. You mentioned that Zhongli is maybe the most familiar with the truth of this world and I will add Venti to that list, since Nahida said that you can bypass Irminsul with stories (and it was proven), so the bard Venti is probably aware of it as well. Besides, Skirk said herself that she's sure they'll meet again and it be dumb not have Skirk show up in the future.

Bruh, another crazy theory from me. What if Ayato is like the tenth Harbinger or something crazy. With Scarapoop gone, the Harbingers have no representation of an inazuman in their ranks. Could you imagine him just joining to learn the truth for himself and Inazuma and then ghosting the Fatui, so now they don't mention him since they don't wanna bother with it. My theory is that they are handing over empty gnoses, venti gave the anemo authority to dvalin, zhongli used it to make azdaha, Apep still has hers or it was stolen from nahida, focalors gave it to Neuvillette, again this is all theory but i think they only actually have one authority maybe, that being dendro, because ei may have used it to make her shogun puppet which might be a sub for her dragon by hoyo, if tsaritsa needs the authority of all elements then shes not getting it, if the authorities started to gather in one place the principles would have awakened dont you think?

For as much as they give Celestia side-eye for Khaenri'ah (even though Khaenri'ah directly threatened their nations), the Tsaritsa allowed her Fatui to also do damage and do harm to, and even kill, innocents to chase her ideals and impose her will. Zhongli is really interesting because he seems to be or had been really close to the Cryo Archon compared to the other Archons but he is by oath loyal to Celestia. He always talks about how much he values the contracts he has signed and despises the ones who take it for granted and break it. Till now Zhongli has always chosen Duty over Love. It's an interesting Paradox because if the God of Contracts breaks an Oath, how can he be the God of Contracts.

I had a daydream that in order to preserve history from Dottore, Nahida hides herself and the real irminsul inside wanderers dreams.
