Honestly this was pretty eye opening. Dudes were running wide open and burrow wasn’t even really looking at them. I’d like to see gesicki or yoshi adjust routes mid play cause gesicki really was wide open in that clip at the end. Burrows gotta find the open man.
We have more star WRs than most teams. If that doesn't work, the WR isn't the solution to the puzzle. Develop a multiple style offense with more balance. Go in 12 for fudge cicles and dare to play some power football.
What I think would be an interesting next step is not to evaluate QB and individual pass catchers, but instead an evaluation and scoring of the route concepts... What %of passing plays produce good opportunities for the passing game...and how good are those opps. More of an evaluation of the play design and play calling and less about the outcome/execution or choices for the QB. Anyway, thank you, I enjoy the content.
I actually have an old school bengals jacket with customer stitched patches on it. When I wear it I get so many compliments that a feel like a victorious secret super model lol
No one knows how hard it is to be a good and efficient NFL QB. We see the field from the perspective of the television (which is a different universe) instead of reading the field from the QBs eyes …. Even the all 22 angles don’t even come close to what the view is from Burrows eyes Joe Goodberrys opinion of burrow is in super high regard and Joe knows the disadvantage that burrow is in with the coaching staff not always putting him in the greatest spots. So I trust Joe burrow and Joe goodberry
I said the exact same thing tho g about those guys running the same route. If that is planned it is horrible because you are basically taking 1 target away
Lmao by far my least favorite reffing team even when it’s not a bengals game these bastards just wanna be involved in the game every game they ref. They just can’t sit back and let the game be played ever. They call the ticky tack shit all the time but seem to miss the easy penalties it’s really absurd lol
I was joking with a friend on Sunday that maybe Burrow struggles against the Browns because he’s confused by all of the orange and that causes him to second-guess himself before throwing.
eagles are a lot like ravens and browns... they have elite RBs, QBs that can run and decent defenses, i'd be lying if i didn't say it "this eagle's game scares me"... we are due for a home win we'll get it
Can't help but think Browns saw something & thought Bengals would try abusing them w Yoshi, the way they treated him. Wonder if they were right & that's why the early gameplan wasn't working
I'll tell you what's going: The offense is hindering its own potential because Burrow demands the shotgun offense which makes them one dimensional, weakens the play action game, reduces the pressure on opposing defenses and forces your WRs to win in scenarios where defenses are free to play them straight up. There's no deception, no cohesive plan. The team looks many times better when they earn the shotgun offense with under center play and make defenses respect the box. This is all on Burrow. It's been going on for years. This offense is stagnant, unimaginative, predictable, listless and downright boring, even when it is working. It's still living and dying by the splash play and exhibits no possession control at all. Until they admit this, and force Burrow to develop and make him play under center at least 50% of his snaps, nothing will change, no matter who is coaching or running routes. Burrow missing his receivers has been a recurring theme all season and not reading all that well. The points were there against the Brows all day, Burrow just didn't get them. *shrug* As Goodberry maybe inadvertently highlights in this break down is that you can commonly see Burrow in empty or puts a TE in blocking duty while the Brows are sitting 7 players in coverage and 3 WRs to find a spot. That's wasting 8 men against a 4 man box and getting NO production from it. All because he's in empty and defenses don't have to care about runs. It's so obvious.
@@theenthusiast4218 Uh, no. To all of it. And the team had a much better defense both of those years. Otherwise they would have been 1 and done in both playoff appearances if they even made it.
I'm not really a fan of the offense anymore. It was good but now people have tape. We need more movement and misdirection and motion. Look at other teams
The offence is not very creative. As you showed Andrei Iosavas is doing a good job but not getting targetted. I am really disappointed with the poor call playing. I think a new coarch would be welcomed if it is not better by the end of this season.
Joe Goodberry you are very nice by not saying the absolute truth which is a combination of terrible play calling and absolutely not prepared and being out coached again and joe burrow doesn’t have a trust in the running game or the OL
@@swiss954 what tf is play books when u can get separation yoshiiiiiiiiiiii can't thought he can fill that boyd roll made a mistake by putting him there this because u know the play book doesn't mean u better in this because u show out in practice doesn't mean u finna do it in the game look u can say what u want but Burton better in this coaching staff made a mistake putting asian boat in slot who doesn't have good routes running
@@burrowlife9 u gotta know the playbook at this level. This ain’t high school or rec. But ye I don’t think Yoshi should be in the slot either Charlie Jones was very very productive in college and can run routes. Go watch what Steve smith has to say about him. Burton just not ready yet.
Burrow is the one who wants the 85% shotgun spread offense. That's what eliminates the bootleg, playaction and run game and leans on WRs to read their matchups and makes the offense predictable.
@@MJAllDay-mi3ys Actually he has been. And just this last week he checked into a run on 3rd and 8 on an obvious disguise by the defense. Burrow can change any play. You want to give him credit when it works and none of the blame when it doesn't. That just doesn't make any sense.
3rd & 8 Is Way Different Than 3rd & 18 ....... Don't Deviate Off The Original Point Of Emphasis 😑: Second Of All, Burrow Checks Out/Down To His TIGHT ENDS ...... Zac Taylor Checks Out/Down To RUNNING BACKS AND RECEIVERS ..... Like He Did With The LA Rams. Learn Football 😑 .........
The sad fact is without joe burrow the bengals are 1-16 team with the fast declining of the running game and OL play and no TEs contribution to the passing game neither WRs 3,4,5,6 which is a severe decline
Yeaaaa babyyyy .500 is way better than making the playoffs or winning the Super Bowl just set the goals low so you can achieve them like one win a season and one touchdown all season long
