Hello, im in Scotland and its all wet too. Anyhow i was strangely enough putting the rear brake drums and hubs back together on my mk4 escort last night. I just used a stainless washer either side of the rear hose bracket when fitting goodridge braided hoses, i held it up then tightened the nut so the hole was at the bottom to let any water out. Mine is a black mk4 with rs turbo bodykit, fibreglass bonnet, roll cage, magnex exhaust, poly bushes etc etc. I made my brake lines up then a sand, primer and green paint like factory. When l see you at the rear brakes ,anyone here put on a new proportion valve, lve uneven braking and struggling to sort it, you don’t notice it when driving , the mot guys pick it up, sorry if lam jumping on you post mate but there seems to be quite a few knowledgable people follow you.
