I'm a disabled veteran and it took me four years to figure out the perfect diet and routine. I was 320 lbs and miserable. carb and booze addicted. fasting was about the only thing that jump started my engine. trying to work out 100 lbs over weight just wasn't happening. once I went carnivore I got to 270 lbs with hamburger eggs and cheese. then my body wanted to be physical again. started walking everyday. need that sunlight. once I was 250 I cut the cheese out. didn't feel good anymore. was happy with eggs steak or hamburger. sometimes bacon. I hit 240 and know I have the perfect routine now. what I learned is your gut biome wants to betray me as the carb bacteria or whatever was sending panic mode to the brain for more carbs and alcohol. I gave in a few times and gained 10 back. now I'm powering through it. trying to hit 200 in a couple months. good luck!
