this is the combine I grew up with, as a child we sat on the ledge behind the seat, as we got older we started driving the tractors with the cart. Along with the tractors, I also drove the combine and trucks. Our Dad never encouraged us to go into farming, so the farm died when he retired. I definitely miss those days on the farm.
I spent many summers as a kid running one of these beasts, 760 silver cab, hydro, in the 80's and 90's until dad got tired of custom work and sold it all. Them Perkins ran good, and boy did they always blow smoke. Watching this video sure takes me back. Sad to see this machine in such bad shape. End of an area. Wish someone would mod one for farm sim, so I could re-live it!
our 760 6cly turbo 354 perkins sat inside 21 years started up drove home a mile been sitting out for 2 and half years because where we had ours stored we sold the place. quit running it because the motor wont stay running get air in fuel and die many issues with it i got tons of videos of it on my channel. reason why yours don't move is the hydro belt came off. also the header thing might be a wire bad they lift of electric some of them did ours didn't work either got a payloader lifted. it up and locked it in place tires on ours are way worse drove it home no brakes lol and gear driven. ran with 21 year old diesel drove home. back in thr 70s and 80s had a 860 v8 540 perkins with 6,000 hours ran great just was wore out and then bought a new 1977 760 white cab v8 540 perkins was good combines at the time no parts here so we run john deere 9750 sts and 9500 also still have a complete super 92 massey combine complete we bought new in the 50s
Your hydraulic fluid level is probably too low, try adding a couple of gallons and it might help, I'm assuming that's a hydrostat drive. Nothing sounds sweeter than a perkins engine.
All came with air, direct drive, hydro, I think there was corn and bean special? someone smashed the bin on the rtside it’s dry lt shift lever is high, low, reverse,
