It seems to me his previous "humanitarian" efforts were organized and maintained by The Firm/Palace machinery to give this fool of a Prince some substance and structure to his rich and sheltered existence. Look how much he's crumbled since he left. His arrested development has been bubbling to the surface ever since he decided it was a good idea to unleash his childhood rage at his family and rest of the world in general. Don't get me wrong, most of us are deeply flawed humans, but our self-awareness helps us try to be better people. Hazard and his harpy are oblivious to any sort of real soul searching and healing. Even before Meghan, he has zero record as humanitarian, except what was embellished PR by the palace aides on his behalf as the son of then Prince of Wales. The RF was happy to finally give him Invictus since he seemed most willing to take that on. Otherwise, he has the reputation of having to be dragged off his bed to go and do his duties in royal appearances. I guess that's why it was so easy for him to cancel his Royal Marine event that would have honored dead soldiers, and instead went to the Lion King Premiere to shill his wife. It was a patronage bequeathed to him by Prince Philip. What a disappointment he turned out to be to his grandfather in his last days.

A literal genetic impossibility, yet nobody calling her out on its ludicrousness- quite the opposite- it’s reported as a given fact, regardless of it not being a thing let alone a possible thing. My cousin works for a charity treating severe malnutrition in the DRC. You are right talking about the poverty, lack of infrastructure, and endemic violence, especially by those with power. It has been very disheartening working there.

A relative of mine also used to work on african safaris. They used to say that going into the DRC was like entering a black hole because there were no means of communication or any infrastructure for support and you were completely on your own.

When the recent DRC elections were happening and there was a possibility of violence in the region my cousin was at, she was relocated to the capital on a compound for a month, so the aid workers could be flown out of anything happened (it has the only airport, and even in the Capitol there is not guaranteed power or running water etc). It was the first time any of the family could talk to her in 2 months. Even physical mail is a no go where she is at. She has to load up on what she can carry with her. If people want to send a care package she has to tell them they can't where she is, but we can send something to her home for when she gets back to help her recover from the trauma she sees daily. They have a 2-3 month work, 1 month back home to recover schedule. And at the capital they have an onsite counselor for the workers to help them cope. She enjoys the work, but it is draining.

Harry’s idea of Africa is a huge white tent with a real king size bed, t.v., video games, chandelier, rugs, food cooked for him by a chef, beautiful table set with China, and free to walk around on a star lit night while security surrounded the encampment. I’d love to see him live in one of those mud huts, with minimal food in the refugee camp for 2weeks absolutely NO SPECIAL treatment. I cant even imagine him lasting 24hrs.

What a lame excuse amd shallow justification for Harry not speaking up to protect humam life. If we all believed that, then nothing would ever get done. History has shown us many times over that things do get done when enough people speak up. Harry as prince of the most famous RF in the world, is in the news headlines almost if not, daily. His position with African Parks is at the top. He could show himself to be a leader and step up, and throw the weight he believes he has to support people less fortunate in his eyes to make a huge impact. The atrocity is bigger than Harry. That is exactly why he should lead the way, but we know he won't because it would require comittment , but more than that, EFFORT. Harry is all talk and no action. There would have to millions involved. Charity has never been his stronghold.

I worked in a restaurant many moons ago and my manager was really show-y, talking to the customers, all smiles, would even bring food to the tables here and there, but when there was an actual problem - an angry customer, or complaint, it didn’t matter how big or small - he would totally disappear. I travelled through the Congo and the Central African Republic way back in the early nineties. The baka people are small. They are tiny. 5 foot tall at best. They are part of the forest and rely on it for everything. I was lucky enough to go on a hunt in the forest for dik dik and duiker with them. Some of the baka I met had never seen a white person before. The baka people are considered backward by the other local people, so racism is also involved between different groups. I am lucky enough to have spent a couple of years in different parts of Africa it is in my soul and intend to travel down the west coast before I die. By the way, American maps are wrong. Africa is huge, It's three times the size of the USA.

The cynic in me wonders if African Parks is a cover up to rob the land of its resources. Of course, Harry is too unintelligent to understand how the world works, but it wouldn't surprise me if others on the board are getting huge payoffs from various industries/governments to "solve the Baka issue". My prediction is they will drop Harry (he will frame it as a resignation), because he brings too much of a spotlight on their dealings.

The fact is Harry always lived inside his rich bubble…sure he may have visited a poor community- but only for a hour or two. He have may visited a poor nation, if only for a day. Has he actually stayed in a mud hut, or harvested his own food. Has he trudged miles upon miles carrying gallons of water on his back - No. That’s why he has no concept of the African people in general… he came, he saw, he forgot.

Good information and insight. Let's keep the issue in the public eye so pressure comes to bear on African Parks board members to protect the PEOPLE, not just land and animals, from abuse. Harry is emotionally immature, his view of Africa is simplistic and almost childlike. His and old Meg's speeches are very similar in that they do a lot of talking but actually say very little.

You do have to take into consideration, that the times he was probably remembering were with his mother.They were royal visits when he was young and well protected. Now that he's an adult, he's most likely not going to know what to do. His presence on the board is a flex.He's a figurehead; no power but he still has his title of Prince, as it's his birthright. What he knows and remembers is a privileged point of view because the African people were trying to make a good impression, at the expense of their reality, to give a spoiled child a good time in their homeland.

Re: African Parks. Harry needs to go to Congo and engage international lawyers familiar with the rules and laws of Congo. PH is stupid. Long before Megale came on to the scene, Harry always showed and shared his love for Africa. He set up Sentebale, for example,as well as spending quite a lot of his time for good causes. She comes along, and she has completely changed him. He appears to no longer care about something he once was so passionate about. He can't keep his head buried in the sand with the Africa Parks atrocities. I also question Megsy's claim to be part Nigerian.. A DNA test wouldn't pinpoint the exact country in Africa.

Are you not aware thst Nigeria is not an ethnicity . Its a politicial entity? . Nigeria has almost 300 different nationalities. It surely does pinpoint where in Africa, there are both Nigeria and East Central Nigeria as locations. In the US there are even African American & African Caribbean Communities shown (430 of them).

Harry apparently has only been to the more developed countries in Africa so wouldn't have any idea about the really remote parts. I have lived in Africa all my life and haven't been to those areas either but I do have a greater understanding of African culture. The whole situation with African Parks is a really complicated issue.

Thank you for sharing your experience in Africa. I have also lived and worked in Africa. You are absolutely right! Harry's experience is in former British colonies in cities and safari parks. That is very different from the way indigenous tribes and refugees live in remote areas. No Dior or Givenchy in these areas!😂😂

No matter how remote or difficult, just the amount that Invictus paid for M's hideous wardrobe for each event to show up to would cover the total cost for private jets, helicopters, boats + guides to take them there with a grouo of accredited journalists instead of her make up artist, hairdresser, camera crew, etc. Instead of attending concerts, premieres, buying awards, they can well afford to make how many trips necessary to fact check - IF H were so motivated to do so.

I think the truth is and agsin why he is zeen as a poseur , that he has a Rousseau ,noble savsge , wealthy bunble view of Africa where reality is nust a back drop he drops into in order to feel good. Msybe his hesrt is or was in the right plsce but nothing else is. And he is not alone. And yes white saviour mentality.
