I get what you mean by saying ‘this is the only path forward’ but why does it have to be? There are studies showing how negative neo futurist architecture can be on the human psyche and people feel genuinely happier in and around more classical architecture styles in comparison to more minimalist styles (like neo futurism). So why should we embrace this way forward? Why not look for an alternative which draws from the past rather than abandon it? Idk a lot on my mind about this stuff lol, great video btw :)
I’ve been exploring these concepts myself lately (the fact that architecture used to be made to be used by people, and enhance their lives, and nowadays buildings are just made to cram as many offices as possible inside them) and it’s truly eye-opening how bad living in big cities can be for us (adding to this some new studies about how bad air pollution is for our cognitive abilities). I didn’t really know that while making the video, so thanks for starting this discussion :)
No it will not. Humanity has a long track record of destroying itself on its own. Naturally and un-naturally. Technology will just make humanity more miserable and yet give it the ability to exspand its greatest potential at the same time.
