This video was performed in Mexico 🇲🇽. All speed runs/ wheelies were photoshopped and edited. Do not emulate anything I did. Ride at your own risk. I’m not a role model, just a dork with a dirtbike. Be safe!
@@linksgarage1985 you have an awesome energy, sense of humour. 100% match for me!) I hope I won't die at the front till the summer, dreaming of riding again :)
I have a 2020 DRZ 400Sm & I also got mine in March! I'm glad I ran across your page, you seem really down to earth. I live in southern IN so your roads look almost identical to mine. Also, I felt your pain riding in sweatpants. I'm a car salesman so i wear my dress clothes all the time and i feel so weird riding a SM with basically a suit on lol. Love the mods you've done so far, a few i have done already and a few i will steal from you and use your install video's. Much love brother keep up the content
Cool ride! Literally! Haha, I experienced that just the other day. T-shirt, sweatpants.. bandana. Brrrr! Haha, I rode into town and mailed some bills, hit the station for gas and the sun comes out, I had to sit there for a while and get warm! 😆. Now, it's long johns and three layers on top, ... and helmet. Mines still completely stock.. other than the removal of the Spark arrestor.. I hit 90 mph and still had 1/4 throttle left... Level freeway stretch. Got 1500 miles on it, bought it in May of this year. Man, you got some Sweet back roads! 💥💨
Kind of expensive but the "dragy" sensor is a cool gimmick for finding out your numbers and time. Nice to find out the actual numbers of this classic modern beast.
Appreciate the video man! I enjoy your humour quite a bit. I’m currently selling my KLR to acquire a DRZ400SM. Looking forward to losing it similarly to yours. Ride safe. New sub.
Okay, so I left you a comment yesterday. And today RU-vid recommended this video and I had to subscribe. ≤I love pink motorcycles because I love having too much fun.≥ This one is golden🤣
Nice run! I don’t like riding mine over 65. I’m tall, so my torso is just too much of a big sail at higher speeds. Did you keep the stock handlebar but add bar risers? ….
The clutch side is a breeze. The throttle side is an absolute bitch. It’s literally glued / fused to the throttle tube. Trust me. You’re not sliding it off. What I did, is cut it off with a razor. And I had to basically shave it down little by little until the new grip would fit. What I would do knowing what I know now, is just buy another throttle tube (cheap). And replace it and not even spend an hour cutting it off. Good luck. And thank you for watching!
@@linksgarage1985 thanks for the response brother. Yes I’ll do that very thing order another throttle tube right now. thanks for that info! Ride safe 🤙🏾
My DRZ will indicate 110, so like 105 actual? I have an FCR, full Yoshi dual exhaust, pod air filter, and a 38t rear sprocket. I was completely tucked and it took a while to get to 110. I weigh a little over 200 lbs.
@@DanielGoller Yes the airbox is removed. Not sure about the jetting, I bought the bike from a guy who set it up. It for sure is on the rich side. The pod filter comes directly off the carb. The pod filter is a UNI 2 inch diameter.
Hey out the door for a new 2023 drz 400sm what would u say the cost is here in FL? Also great videos u got a new sub. Also I hear something about carburetors or something about these bikes and it's stopping me from buying what's your opinion idk anything about them or if it's a simple quick fix every few years? Is it worth not getting the bike I'm new to SM. I used to be Supersport bike lol
Man, I just made a video called can you daily a Supermoto. Check it out. Do not be afraid of a carb. Bikes have had them for over 100 years. And it’s purely mechanical and no electrical, or programming or computer crap to worry about. Do some research, the DRZ is a tried and true classic. Damn near bullet proof. I used to live in Daytona! I’d say new one is $7599 plus tax. That’s just a guess tho. Good luck! And thanks for the sub!
@Link’s Garage no worries keep the content up and I will check the video out! I won't be worried then if it can last me 8 years plus or even more I'd be happy super sport bike are cool but u can't go off road and I wanna explore here down south off road lol. God bless you sir thanks again! :)
Stock gearing and stock size tires. 120/70/17 front. Filming this, a 140/70/17 rear. Now a 150/60/17 rear. It’ll go faster now. Upgraded the exhaust. And it rips.
