First Shinee, Thanks so much for taking the time and effort to make this video !!! Also, wow did you do some super work packaging the box !! They all fit perfectly !! I appreciate that you tried 3 different ways of packaging to see the result and did your best to ensure they made it to your sister in as beautiful condition as they left you.. Im surprised that the smallest one had that much damage with all you did to prevent it. However I will say USPS is not known to be careful with any boxes no matter how much a box may say "breakable or please handle with care" 🙄🤦 Its frustrating b/c you'd think it would take more effort for them to toss & damage the packages than to handle them nicely and not end up looking mangled. Either way it was a cool experiment to see. Only question I really had was approximately how far did the macs travel ? Oh and thank you to your sister for so kindly recording the unboxing for us to see the results 😊
I think the clamshell looked best. But I like the simplicity of the individual packs. Good to see they both worked. Thank you so much for these videos!
Thank you so much for making this video! It was very helpful! I was just wondering, how long did it take to get the package to your sister? I am just curious to know how long the ice packs stay cold. Thank you!
Great video!! I have been thinking about shipping macarons and this was very helpful. I bought ice packs but never thought about using the insulted bags instead of a small styrofoam cooler. I also thought about dry ice, just not sure if that would be too cold and cause cracking of the shells. Thank you for making your videos, I've watched them all.
This got me thinking about making macarons for my birthday gifts to my family. I made the fillings ahead of time, do you recommend filling the shells right away after they are cooled or can I make a bunch of shells (multiple Color’s) and then freeze the shells and fill them when I need to do it all in one day?or just fill them and freeze them all together? I take care of my grandma with dementia and she needs 24/7 care so it’s hard for me to take 2 hours of my day to get it all done, so I tend to make shells separately and filling on another day, and then find a day to assemble them because I’m lucky if I can get 30-90 mins of my own time. I still want to practice my skill and I don’t want my ingredients to expire so I make sure to do all that I can each day thank you for the videos! It’s helped me figure out where I make mistakes because I tend to have bad shells when i rush or if I leave them unattended for too long, that’s why I’d prefer to make them when she’s sleeping but then the mixer gets loud so it’s like a balancing act! These videos keep me going, thank you for inspiring me to be happy ((: much love to you from Vancouver Canada!
Hi, Louis!! Your dedication to your grandma is so kind and inspiring!! And I'm so happy you're taking the time to do something you enjoy too! It's so important to carve out time for yourself!! Keep up the great job! And yes, you can definitely freeze plain shells and fill them later! I'm so happy my videos have been helpful and inspiring to you! Thank you for your comments!!
What a great video! I'm actually wanting to purchase items from you links so that I can try this myself. Do you recall what size of the thermal bubble wrap envelopes you used? I liked your sizing from the video with the amount of ice packs you could fit. Thanks!
I don't sell macarons, so I never calculated pricing. I even saw a video for pricing macarons, but I didn't watch it. If I come across, I'll let you know.
