today I try to get my 1960 c60 up and running again after it's sat for years. the motor was seized when I picked it up and it had sat for 10 to 15 years before I brought it over here. it's awful hard to kill these straight six motors.
My experience is that nothing works better than gas for starting one. Starting fluid helps when you’re getting gas but something else is preventing it from starting like poor spark or low cranking speed or even cold weather
I assume you're not talking about what I would do with your 54/55 pick up at the end of the video. 😊 But you're speaking about the 1960s Viking series 60 truck. I know of a man and I talked with him occasionally for his expertise and conversation. He has a 1962 I think it is same truck essentially but he has a V6 and he uses it for the last 35 years daily for his business. If you have a use for it then fix it. Scrap it otherwise and build to pick up using the cab and the hood to begin with. See I've got fifty-nine and a 1960 Vikings 60 series truck. Although the 60 is in really nice shape. I believe what I'm going to do with it is cut the frame make a dump trailer out of it. I've already got pickup truck frame. Set this body on that pickup frame and put that 283 in their source out a transmission. Then sell it after I'm done. Cannot keep all the toys.
