I'm very interested in the next videos in this power station. I would like something to use daytime solar energy to keep the house running during the evenings. This will get me quite a long way towards the target.
Thanks for testing this larger inverter and battery. Their website says this can operate as UPS. Some others do not work as UPS for various reasons; for example, some do not automatically switch from mains supply to drawing from the battery. It will be interesting to hear if this one can simply be plugged into a wall socket with a fridge and microwave plugged into the outlets on the inverter. Try turning off the power at the wall and check if the inverter switches to battery power without interruption. ☮️
I travel with my AC200max on the rear seat (smaller than the AC300. I get 25percent back into the car every time. So around 1500-1600Wh from the 2kw AC200max
It’s strapped to the rear seat and the front seat jams it in place. Safest rear passenger you have in there. Least of your worries if you crash in a Twizy 😂😂
Nice to have everything in a single package, but I have reservations - A 24V car connector is just asking for problems as anyone wanting to use it will be expecting 12V. The high current interconnect should be L shaped for lower profile, and how does it manage current/equalization if there is a large difference in states of charge between batteries? I made my own using a 3kW-6kW inverter with 2kWh of scooter batteries for about £1200 - it runs my fridge, computers or AC if I have a power cut, but it's not as pretty!
Hi Andy Great vid but Bluetti to pricey for me mate . I run 18650 9000mah solar rechargeable motion sensor ir remote controlled lights to light my flat. I have a 130 amp 12v leisure battery plumbed into my solar controller unit which is powerd by 3 solar panels linked in parallel. I never have to use mains power to charge my handheld usb devices and during the summer i run my fridge freezer from solar using my 3kw inverter. I id my own setup and total cost approx £350. I charge my escooter and ebike by solar so in the long run the initial £ layout will go into the black. I live in North London ,so yes it is not beyond city dwellers to try it .
I'm trying to find out Andy but I can't quite get the info I'm after. The inverter unit itself, on its own, does that supply power? It appears from Bluetti's site that it does, just that the extra battery expands it. If that's the case, it's weird to me that you can buy the AC300 for £800 in the sale, but the extra battery will cost another £2000. Is that right? I guess it means you could power higher drain devices off it, but still.
I just had a look into Buying a Twizy. So disappointed at the price. I have my eye on another MK3 MR2. And save up for an EV conversion while I beet on that great little engine. Ok-bin the EV conversion and supercharge it ha ha haa
Is there a safe way to mount this to a self-powered trailer for towing on the Twizy? I was curious if this can be used to extend the range or for providing emergency power?
Andy I really need some advice! But youtube seems to have changed a-lot since i used to post 😅 How do i message you on here! Would really appreciate it thank you!
@@andykirby yeah but it looks like a good laugh 😂 plus I'm surprised nobody has tried to modify one yet with a new controller to get ridiculous speeds out of that tiny vehicle. (Quadricycle you can drive it with a moped license only)
