Just speaking from experience; check the rear main seal in that pickup. When mine went in my old 390, that’s exactly what it looked like.

I am actually a retired paramedic (32 years) and heard Janel(I apologize if it’s not the correct spelling) is going to paramedic school. The last 10 years of my career I was teaching paramedicine. It is a 75 F250. Heavy Duty Brakes. Probably a 360 or maybe a 390.

Don’t ever get rid of that motor. It will last for ever. I had a 78 F250 with 460 in it. Got over 300000 miles on original motor transmission rear end only changed out the water pump alternator and Radiator. I saw the super cooling radiator in it. Also I can’t remember if I had the timing at 8 degrees btdc. Or maybe 16 degrees btdc. Never used oil For the oil leak on the back of the engine check the oil pressure sending unit at the back of the engine on top near transmission. Mine blew the top out of it and it pissed oil like what you got. Stick your hand down the back of the engine just left of center and see if oil is puddling at the back. I thought I had blew out a rear main seal and when they went to take the cruise control off the block the stuck their hand in oil. I wish I had my old truck back. I had it for 17 years and paid $7800 for the truck new and sold it for $2500. Not bad for 300000. Good luck with it.

DUDEZILLA! The main reason old trucks EFFIN' RUUUUUUULE is because of all the room you have in the engine compartment!!!!! That is a 351 right???? And you STILL got TONS of room to play with it!!!

1973 or 1974. Round headlights and the turn signals are above the headlights. I had a 1974 F-100 4x4 for 40 years. I miss it but the rust was winning. Those old FE engines used a rope rear main seal.

Even as rough as that is I’d still take it over anything they’re building today. Once it’s had a little more love it’s gonna be awesome

Congratulations Janelle! I have been a Paramedic since 1991… Probably before you were even born! My last stint was as a Flight Paramedic. I LOVED that job. I just recertified for probably the last time! 😥. Now I am a Safety Officer….most rewarding career I have ever had! Stay with it. It will open more doors than you will ever believe!

I have a Daughter Janelle's age doing Radiology / magnetic Imaging.. it is really tough! She's a rising star, tutoring others etc

Tell Janelle to say with local work as far as being a paramedic. Big city medic jobs are very very difficult and usually really busy. After a number of years it gets to you. Keep track of your mental health during your journey to help others. 👍

I love how you fully commit to driving the old dent side home by loading the Cushman on the trailer totally eliminating that option! Sweet truck by the way. Extended cabs weren’t very common in early 70’s.

Love the old Fords. I’m currently restoring my 74 F100 4x4 short box with a 390 I rebuilt. Desktop dyno “predicted” 400hp and 500ftlb of torque.

Tell Jannelle great career choices. I retired after 40 years as paramedic. The shift slowed me to have a second career. Also, I did residential building and remodeling. If you can try for a fire department based EMS service, way better benefits.
