Saw him in Vancouver the past month. I have seen hundreds and hundreds of musicians and this is the very first musician where his words touched the soul so much the tears were drippin’. So talented.
Boy that spoken word lead-in in the first song just gets your mind to begging for him to sing. And then he does and it’s more than you can ever have hoped for…Knocked the breath out of me.
Have had the pleasure of seeing him live and sharing festival bills with him for many years now. From my hometown Winnipeg. Treaty No. 1 Territory represent!
William Prince is from near me. I'm used to seeing him at rural community halls and small summer festivals. It's so fantastic to see him on Tiny Desk and going around the world
Just went to the You Got Gold tribute to John Prine in Nashville. William performed "Same Thing Happened to Me" with John's former band and brought the Ryman house down. So glad to learn about him.
Wonderfull guy, we had the pleasure of having him on our very small stage in the North of The Netherlands, wow, what a great evening that was! Very nice to see him again at the NPR-tin desk.
"Stand in Joy," released last year, is a phenomenal album. On my list of albums of the year. It's the album "Tangueray" on. Give it a listen. You won't be disappointed.
Absolutely love him! Discovered him a few years ago on RU-vid, along with John Moreland and finding he'd done a Tiny Desk was brilliant! Greetings to all from the east of England!
YES! Have had the privilege of seeing him live. Such a fantastic artist in so many ways. The songwriting, storytelling, amazing voice. Thanks NPR Music!
The instant feeling of peace and calm I got as soon as he started singing... Just wow. Frisson to a T. The way he adds an element of story telling to his songs and makes it sound so natural is just astounding.
Yes his songs make me really feel settled in one spot composed. And WHISTLING! I love this in songs . ...I never realized but I think my heart has ears and I'm listening with it.
Oh my days, what LUSH timbre his voice has! Not gonna lie: Goldie Hawn made me cry. What woman wouldn't want someone to write a song like that for her? Wonderful lyrics. Sigh.
@OfficialWilliamPrince-rz1wb a year!! There’s an indigenous music festival every summer in Maliotenam in Quebec called Innu Nikamu and I was discovering different indigenous artists and found your stuff! I was so delighted to find such a smooth and folksy sound. Keep being you!!! I hope you can come to Innu Nikamu next year. I’m childhood friends with the coordinator, I’ll tell him about your music!
i just cant stop crying. not because of his music, because of everyday problems, but it helps a lot to have it there, feels like if i wasnt crashing against the floor again, but just floating away.
Hi.... what a Lovely Presence...❤ Melody, voice, guitar, this voyage was so good.... ...I deeply feel it will be endless, when I will get all his albums. Many thanks Tiny Desk. ❤❤❤
So glad he finally got on. I loved his Tiny Desk set back at his gaff in the midst of the pandemic. I was hooked straight away and really wanted him to get an opportunity to play by that tiny desk proper. Good stuff!
I am soooooooooooooo happy to watch and listen to this 2nd Tiny Desk of William Prince's. Just so everything for the heart, and the ears, and the spirit. Thank you truly.
I found William Prince when he did his at home tiny desk and I’m thrilled to virtually experience his in person tiny desk. He deserves all of the attention he’s finally getting! ❤
Dang, I don't believe I've ever caught a Manitoban behind the tiny desk before this. William Prince, what you do, you do a darn pure version of and I appreciate it.
