His NP is from his legend of shooting the apple off of his son's head, but the mechanic of the game implies that the son was trying to dodge? Kinda paints a dark picture. "wHy ArE yOu RuNNin BOI?"
The idea of the second apple is that if he missed the apple then he would shoot the man who ordered him to shoot the apple off of his son's head. Basically him going "If my son dies then you die too"
No, his np said it can't be escape even the enemy ready to dodge like an apple in the legend, but if there are any chance that he miss he will activated second np which is even more powerful than the first and can't be miss at all.
It's not that, actually. It's left pretty obvious in LB4. He went to shoot the apple with a second arrow ready. If he missed, and his son died, he would shoot the noble who ordered the apple deal in the first place. Basically, the first arrow is his default NP. But the big deal is the SECOND NP, that bypasses all defenses and always hits, but can only be shot if the first arrow misses.
Fun little detail: His first skill drops 30 stars, so a lvl1 Willy with a star dump CE gives you guaranteed crits, and will probably not overstay his welcome thx to the skill seal
@@abshah8514 I think you missed the point of the idea... It was so the lvl 1 Willy just pops in, makes a round of guaranteed crits and then dies off (cause he's level 1). Babbage can't replicate this cuz his starbomb is his third skill.

As a german, I lost my shit laughing when you pronounced his NP. The way you pronounced it it means "shitting apples". If you pronounced it like "shee-sen" it would mean "shooting"

got a copy of him today and super happy. Yes I know he isn't as good as say David but I still love him. I will admit that I call him Willy from time to time (a relative of mine had that as his name so take that as you will)
What felt like the effective way to play when I used him was use crits to drain a boss enemies health down to ~25% and when they proc evade, use that as the sniper shot to kill
I did a multi specifically for him since I like to have all low rarity servants and I got Mordred instead, can't even complain but I will probably spend another 30SQ to try and get him. edit: rolled 36 more SQ, got ganesha and lakshmi but no william WTH DW

A little correction. The ie in Apfel Schießen is pronounced like in the word siege. Literally translated as Apple Shooting What you said in the beginning was Apfel Scheißen. Which would translate to Apple Shitting.
Finally, a Metal Gear servant got added. Cool mythic character and pretty easy to get, though a lot of 3*s need more support to stand out or are good enough just filling in gaps. I don't mind an arts archer with crits and he can set up a second NP faster than Robin's one and done Yewbow burst (or Shuten Doji was a better addition than casters in which case take advantage of the second poison dealer). Crits cannon with some evade tech. Skill seal is a mixed bag, it could stop them from using charisma too often or keep a Sprigan contained or the enemy has no choice but to hit you, or refuses to use their evade skill.
Honestly I feel like he kind of has no place in the game atm, except for people who specifically want him. He's not great for new players because he requires mats they don't have easy access to (chains and arrowheads in particular), but he's not great for older players either, because they probably already have Chloe, or at least some kind of other higher damage ST Archer leveled already. I know I personally won't level him any time soon even if I do get him.
I don't understand you "this x servant has no place in the game" guys. People will use what they love in a game that's easy enough to not care about what is better or does more dmg. I have Chloe but I absolutely despise the loli shit so I'm desperate to get this dude and don't care how much better she is. I will destroy the game anyway. You pronounced Apfel Schießen like the german words for "to shit apples". "i" is not pronounced like "eye" in german (and most other language in the world) and the "e" afterwards is silent.
William tell is a cool character but robin I just like his kit more. Anti evade when you battle someone who spams it or lobo is a super nuke without much need. I won't roll hard until anny for the bronze servants so it'll be a while until I get William. Overall cool but not someone who is big or interesting gameplay compared to perosnality
I did all of the big boss fights in LB2 using teams that had Robin as the main DPS. Yes, Robin has meh np gain but he still gets his np had a decent rate. Robin just does so much damage with his np + CCs can help against mana resistance and the missing on the poison.

@@moviedudexd5579 am I wrong in saying willaim has a niche kit that isn't very useful in general play as most sabers don't have evade same as zerks or that Chloe has an overall better kit being able to spam easier? Plus I haven't said anything deep. William is a cool character just not a overpowered kit and some other units beat him like robin and Chloe in damage and popularity as William honestly is forgetable being a nice old guy compared to Gilles Columbus and Blackbeard who have memes
