In this video you will see the various Windows Safe Mode startup screens. Note that up to Windows 8 Build 8014, the two different types of startups used are either 'noguiboot' or 'sos', the latter showing the NT kernel startup text.

lol i was just confused by safe mode the scariest thing i seen on a computer downloading a cockroach that crawls around the screen i didn't know how to disable cause i was young and had windows 7 pc didn't know how to use it at the time now and installed dumb stuff

Why Windows 8 and new removed the SOS Boot argument. Now there will be no boot logging which is seen on Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Vista and Windows 7

@@amywu2017Boot logging and Boot logo is diffrent. Boot logging is the thing that shows what Windows is loading, to troubleshoot the issue, but Boot logo is the thing that appears on top of boot messages and mostly shows the Windows logo with a boot animation and or text

Its a mode you can start Windows in to fix problems with Windows. It only loads minimal Services.

It's mode where you can boot Windows but with the minimum services running Used for, uninstalling unsuitable drivers And delete some stubborn files and fixing system issues not all of them but some of them keep in your mind that this mode cannot be used as the typical mode because 1 there is no sound 2 99.9 of the applications will not work, at least properly 3 there's no networking and boy, don't try to run games because OpenGL and direct3D and DirectX are not loaded
