@@ErikJohnston LOL!..................I was always partial to the Delta wing variant, the F-16XL. Now that aircraft had great promise and a future, if politics would have minded its own business.

@@ErikJohnston they actually had one more delta wing variant on the drawing board for the Viper, the F-16 SCAMP. Unfortunately, that wing design, as designed, was estimated to lead into low speed instability. The one person I spoke with who knew more about it, than myself, estimated it's takeoff speed would approach 186 knots....I don't know about you, but to me, that's kinda spooky!!!
