Winston Peters, leader of New Zealand First, spoke to Sean Plunket on The Platform NZ about the recent political events in New Zealand. Peters stated that he was not surprised by the resignation of Jacinda Ardern and believed that declining support for the Labour Party and the abandonment of core worker issues were factors in her decision. Peters also reiterated his distrust of the Labour Party due to the secret commissioning of three Waters and stated that he would not do a deal with them. He teased the possibility of an earlier election due to developing circumstances, but did not reveal any specifics.
