I am out at Dinosaur Lake, just outside of Hudson's Hope BC. I spent the day fishing from shore trying to catch one of the winter lake trout and later on I cook up a ribeye steak on the tailgate and spent the night in the tent. This winter camping trip was a blast and I encourage you all to give it a try.

I can honestly tell you that I'm not the one to be asked for fishing tips in this area. I'm assuming you'll be fishing dinosaur and williston in a boat? There's lots of people that have had a lot of success catching the big lake trout here with downriggers but for the areas they go, depths and tackle...I don't know. Blue and silver spoons have always worked good in the river, same thing with spinners like mepps and panther martens. You could check out hook of dreams. He's a local that designs and builds his own tackle. He has really good luck with his gear, but again he's on a boat with down riggers. Theres also some guides in the area that might help you or at least take you out for a day or two of fishing. Good luck on your fishing trip and sorry I couldn't be more help.
