Winter Hiking On the Farm 

Just a crunchy winter walk...down the laneway into the back bush. Deer and coyote tracks throughout. I check on a magnificent sugar maple--5+foot diameter. I find where the loggers are--just north of the farm. Heard the skidder out back the last few days--checked to make sure they didn't "accidentally" steal a few more trees from my side of the fence, like they did last year. Not sure if you can hear it with your volume turned up, but turkeys were gobbling in the background.
