Getting home is never a small chore when you live remote off grid, especially when it is winter in Alaska. In winter, we usually can take a snowmobile home, but the big creek is not frozen over yet and the amount of snow is not ideal for hauling freight on. There is always the Helicopter option, but I will tell you now, it is NOT cheap. One way or another, we always find a way to get home, and we are always happy to be home.
