Winter Landscape ( Lake Lyndon, Castle Hill, Cass Station, Arthur Pass)

My photography group and I embarked on a quest to capture stunning winter landscapes. Despite our hopes of encountering snow, we only found it adorning the mountain peaks. Nevertheless, we made the most of our journey. Our first stop was Lake Lyndon, which surprisingly appeared quite shallow this year. Following that, we visited Cass Station, a personal favorite of mine. Our next destination was the Arthur Pass Lookout, where we indulged in a leisurely lunch and soaked in the awe-inspiring natural beauty.
After our meal, we ventured to the magical Cave Stream Scenic Reserve before concluding our adventure at Castle Hill, renowned for being a filming location for scenes in the Lord of the Rings and the Hobbiton trilogy. Notably, the area has historical significance as an ancient 'observatory' used for predicting seasons and weather.
It was an extraordinary day spent with incredible people. Thank you.
