Hello friends! I am finally feeling festive and ready for snow and all things magical and Christmas. It hasn't snowed here yet but since it is December now, so I think of this as my early winter/pre winter morning routine. It's cozy, I have the fireplace on, it's warm & peaceful and I had the most cozy and romanticized breakfast (trust me when I say romanticized. My breakfast doesn't look like that every morning. But some mornings I like to take it slower and take my time to enjoy a beautiful setting while eating) I also take a walk to the library and grab some gingerbread hot cocoa from a local coffee shop on my way home (which was AMAZING, btw. Might be my new favorite winter drink, it was so good!). Anyway, I hope you enjoy the video :)

Me and my husband sleep in separate rooms too for the same reason: ) I wish this would become more normalized , you can still cuddle before bed and be close all day ! I just sleep SO much better alone (and with my own bathroom hah) love these vids!

Apparently, it was very normal to sleep in separate single beds in the same room during the 1970s...I may be a decade or so out. If I remember correctly, it showed you had wealth because you could afford two beds or something weird like that. I love the concept either way - I'm a very restless sleeper!

My husband and I have slept in separate rooms for over 16 years now. It's nice to see we are not alone, as I have been so insecure about this in the past. We actually have a better marriage this way, because he snores so much. I do miss him in the night though, but sleep is just so important for mental health!

It used to be very normal! My Nan and Grandpa had separate bedrooms their whole married life (50+ years) bc he was a snorer lol. Like a lot of things,I can definitely see this coming back into "fashion" too haha!

12:28 I learned from one of my psych professors that it’s best to wait at least two hours before using social media or watching the news cause the emotions you experience in those first two hours after waking sets your disposition for the rest of the day. I like to read and cuddle my cats with a cup to tea or coffee, makes me more calm through the rest of the day

Instead of paper towels, may I suggest buying a whole stack of soft washcloths and use them to dry your face - you can use one side in the morning and the other side at night, then you can throw them straight in the wash and it’s way better for the environment!

Or you can totally skip drying your face altogether. Just put your moisturizer on wet skin to really lock in the hydration .

Yes. You can sleep together when you want and then don’t have to when you want to have your own space and sleep at different times etc. also it makes the together nights more special IMO. I don’t think it has anything to do with closeness it has to do with wanting your own space within the life you share with someone. It’s not for everyone but it’s completely 100% fine and normal.

I'm a 71 year old bibliophile and for decades have always had several books going simultaneously . It feels soooo good to do that! I have stacks of books in my bedroom and it gives me such comfort. If I get close to the end of a book, I stop reading it and start reading another book to take it's place when it the current one is at it's end so my period of mourning over the loss of that book's story is truncated. Heading things off before the pass.

I absolutely love love love that this isn't Christmas on crack video. I have also had to learn how to like the winter months. 40+ years in the great white north and I still don't LOVE the winter or snow. But I have learned to move through it and enjoy it for what it is. Comfort food, walking in the snow and listening to the crunchy sounds underfoot.

Me & hubby sleep in sep. beds too/same room though, I move around a lot and get really hot (hot flashes) we have always done that & we’ve been together for 28 yrs (since 16 yrs old) I call it the I love Lucy set up ha ha….some people seem confused by it but hey it works for us, breakfast I usually have multi drinks too, glass of water & cup of coffee, you should try animal crossing super cute fun game I’m obsessed, we do family game nights, sometimes with Mario kart love it. love your videos thx 🤓👍💕🥰

Aaah! The first winter upload!! Surprising it actually snowed here over the last couple of days so this sets the mood perfectly (It’s all melted away now but I’m still holding on to the hope of a white Christmas) also may I add that that is an excellent mushroom mug you have there 🍄

Jared did graduate from BYU but this is also where my family is from (Jareds family is from Highland) and after living in Hawaii, we wanted to go somewhere familiar while we saved up money to adopt (eventually) and move abroad :)
