Danke Monika!

I justed rented one trying out such trips. Unfortunatly we do not have a lot of this big, flat areas in Switzerland, where it make sense to use it. I thinks that in Canada you have better options to go with a pulk. I wish I could do once a trip in Canada. But it's far away from here... :-)

Very nice, which sleeping bag is good for winter camping ?
@heinihefti8969
@heinihefti8969 5 лет назад
Thanks for watching and your comment. I personally use a Carintia ECC Line 1000. It's a very warm one, but also (to) heavy (2000gr.). If you buy a sleeping bag you have to look at the comfort temperature. Every sleeping bag normaly shows three temperatures (comfort-limit-extreme). A sleeping bag can be to warm, which is also not good. Then you have to open the zipper. So think about the zone/climate/temperature where you want to go. Good bags are unfortunatly very expensive. atb - Heini

Very nice video of your trip. Not really into silent videos. Say the crossbar on your polk. Does the work better than crisscrossing the poles?
@xwoods9625
@xwoods9625 4 года назад
If your skiing groomed trails with gradual turns, the straight poles are fine. Blazing trails in and around trees, tight turns is where crossed poles come in handy.

Hi Ivan, yes outside the tent I could make a fire. But it's easier to cook with a stove. Yes, in this area there are mostly prepared tracks. It's not like in Norway oder Sweden - the area is not that big and I was walking with my alpin skis, which was not ideal. But it was a good adventures in beautiful nature. Thanks for watching - Heini

Hi Heini, thanks for sharing such an exhilarating film! It can't have been easy capturing footage on your own when attached to your pulk. This is something we have never done, as we can't ski :( How many kilometres can you cover in a day? Cheers from Sharron and Martin, Donegal, Ireland
@heinihefti8969
@heinihefti8969 6 лет назад
Hi Sharron and Martin, thanks for watching! Going with a pulk and taking pictures of my own was indeed very elaborate and a new experience for me. It was very cold so that I always had the battery in an pocket of my jacket. I couldn't open the carabine of the pulk with my gloves. Without gloves they sometimes stuck to my hands (made of iron). I planned to go for 40 km in two days (first day I started in the evening). Finally I only made about 25km. I had big blisters on both of my feets. I took my Alpin skis with me, as I'm used to them and I always left the skins on it. For this kind of trips Backcountry skis would had been better. With them I would have done more meters in a descent and would have been faster in flat areas. I planned to focus manually all the time and to use my external microphone. Finally the conditions were too challenging and I was glad to have at least some usable sequences. Unfortunatly with this annoying irritations of the autofocus. It's my goal to once reach probably the quality you have in your films. But I know that isn't so easy. What you do is really professional!!! I suppose that in a more or less flat area you can easily go 30 km or more with the right equipment. My pulk was about 25kg. Cheers - Heini, Bad Ragaz, Switzerland
