how much maintainment do you have to do regularly besides changing the knifes ? and should it be serviced annually or nothing at all apart from general maintenance?
@robotlawnmowersaustralia7913
@robotlawnmowersaustralia7913 6 месяцев назад
Just general maintenance is required. Brush it clean every week or two. change the blades every 6-12 weeks depending on how much grass it is cutting. They can be servicedm but it is not mandatory.

At this stage you must have the best kept lawn in the southern hemisphere

together with poor sunlight and grubs, I have always struggled with this lawn.

is there a future update that will mow less randomly (at least attempt to mow more efficiently)? I understand it cannot do stripes, but 100% random is so inefficient.

I do think at some point the vision based systems will be able to mow in lines. But for the near future this won't be possible with out additional sensors.

Is there a list of firmware updates along with the improvements provided by each update?
@robotlawnmowersaustralia7913
@robotlawnmowersaustralia7913 10 месяцев назад
Every time a new update is released you can see the updates in your online login fo on your Landroid App. BUt as far as a road map of future update, no I have not seen one and I doubt they would make any of this info public.

Just wondering does it do edging meaning do you have to use a whipper-snapper
@robotlawnmowersaustralia7913
@robotlawnmowersaustralia7913 9 месяцев назад
Currently the Worx Vision will leave about 10-15cm of uncut edges. As the firmware improves over time, this will reduce, but you will always have to still use a line trimmer for all robot lawn mowers.

Can it be kept on it's charger in a garage?
@robotlawnmowersaustralia7913
@robotlawnmowersaustralia7913 6 месяцев назад
yes it could be charged in a garage and carried to each lawn when you want to mow.

At least on the bigger Models (L Series, 1300m² and 1600m²) you can NOT start mowing until you run through the lawn exploration > the robot/app told me, I have to do that first! And that's the frustrating part about it, in the exploration mode the robot has to folow the perimeter of the lawn but if he fails to do that because he couldn't find an edge it ends up stuck and abborts the exploration and you need to do it all over again! It took me a whole day to get that to work once just to have it do it's job > mow the lawn. If your area isn't plain, all green and surrounded by walls, a thik hedge or concrete tiles the Vision will most likely fail to find his way. My Vision L took about 1/2 hour looking for an edge on reseeded area, he just failed to find his way around / through and kept trying it over and over. That's stupid. Oh yes, you can use the magnetic strips to guide him around right? NO because you only get 10 m magnetic band with the bigger models, that's a joke because most 1300-1600m² gardens will need more than that. For my reseeded area I would already need about 15-20 m of these strips. Buying more is NOT and option if you see the price. So yeah, get a robot with cables instead, it works better and is cheaper ...

Yes we have received similar comments from our customers, however it can be overcome by setting a small area to do the lawn explore to get it to the mowing stage and then it will still learn the lawn area when it is mowing. I do agree that on large lawns that would require a lot of magnetic strip to contain the robot, then this may not be the best solution. My biggest piece of advice for all robot mower customers, is seek professional advice before buying a robot mower. With so many different types of robots and wireless technology it is getting more and more difficult for the buyer to select the robot that suits their yard the best. The marketing on most of these robots can be difficult to navigate (to say it politely). Thanks for sharing your experience.

@@robotlawnmowersaustralia7913 if only they would listen to professional advice… my parents bought the Vision without asking, someone told them that it would work and so they bought it despite I told them many times that you can’t just buy a random robot without checking all the details beforehand…

How can they sell it for 1300m2 lawn coverage if the battery is drained after 30 min and did not cover even 100 m2? The worst buy ever for us. Besides we bought it from Brico in Europe for 2k while Amazon sells it for 1.5k at the moment (July 2024). We just saw it yesterday. Huge financial loss besides it does not do the job. 22 cm wide mowning, each 30 min to swap batteries, avoids edges, avoids grasses higher than 10 cm, zig zags without logic 4 times on the same spot not covering other spots. It takes 6 hours to do 80% of a 500 m2 plot. I am behind manual the lawn mower again. Absolutely outrageous. 😢

It sounds like your experience has been terrible because no one gave you the right advice to begin with. This robot does mow around 85m2 per hour worked so your experience of 6 hours is inline with the specifications for this robot mower. The battery should definitely last more than 30mins though. It should run for around 90mins and even longer, but it must only be cutting 5mm of grass off or less. They are designed to mow every day and to reach the capacity of 1300m2 the robot would need to work around the clock 7 days a week. That is how they are designed to work. I hope you are able to get the robot working better in the future. Thanks for sharing your experience.

So this is pretty much a mulch mower
@robotlawnmowersaustralia7913
@robotlawnmowersaustralia7913 6 месяцев назад
yes just about all robotic lawn mowers are mulching mowers. They mow very often and cut very little at a time. So there are typically no clippings to be found.

Hint: buy a professional microphone

Yes I ordered a rode wireless mic today after editing this video and hearing how poor the sound was. Thanks for noticing 😂

Looks promising. What is the price of this in Australia?
@robotlawnmowersaustralia7913
@@henrylawson430 This model will be inline with all the other wireless robots on the market with the M600 model selling for $2999 and the L1300 model selling for $3499. These will be listed on our website shortly and available for presale this week.

yes, because the crossing was so narrow I was trying to get it to be able to cross over and also cross back. If there was more space I would have had them opposite each other as they should be.
