Maybe you don’t know this. But everyone here needs to. In most vehicles now days you cannot run the speaker wires comming from your radio to the amp to provide the signal. Even cars that don’t have premium sound still have on board amps. Meaning that you’ll have high line voltage so you’ll need a hi to low converter still. But at this point it doesn’t even make sense to do any of that. every aftermarket radio has atleast 1 set of rca outputs as well as the amp. High level inputs suck.
Ok. Newbie here. So the rca cables run the signal from the stereo to the amp, correct? Then I run the speaker wire from the amp to the speaker wires going to the vehicle, but I don’t connect the speaker wires directly to the wires coming out of the stereo. I just tie off the speaker wires coming out of the back of the stereo and don’t use them?
I’m doing an install with a 4 channel amp and mono amp for my sub and 2 front door speakers and 2 rear deck speakers. I’m having trouble understanding your explanation fully. It gets expensive when youctouch it then take it to the shop trust me if you plan on doing it make sure you stay commited to doing it if not the shop will charge you more just because its been messed with
