From Episode 10 of Season 1 (Sonny Steelgrave Story Arc).
Classic crime drama from 1987-90 and was only canceled because the main star couldn't continue. ( unfavoured replacements?) Also...
Two interesting facts I recently discovered about WISEGUY:
1. Ken Wahl who played Vinnie Terranova had an Italian name but changed his stage name to WAHL to honour the German man who saved his father life during war time.
2. There is a tentatively planned remake of WISEGUY coming fall 2012.

Ken, Wiseguy still ROCKS and holds up extremely well. I just wish the "Dead Dog Records" episodes would be released... I have everything released on Wiseguy and would love to own the entire series at some point.

My mom use to watch this show when I was an kid in the 80s I remember this came on CBS on Wednesday night's.this show really last that long I don't know I was young lol

The fact they cancelled it because Wahl left the series was a stupid reason to do so. Season 4 only got 9 episodes deep (6 aired, 3 didn't, but can be seen online or on DVD, or on the H&I Channel. Bauer was pretty decent, & the fans then didn't give him an opportunity to develop with the role.

Remake, seriously? Yuk. Actually, Ken Wahl left after Season 3 after many disagreements with Steve Cannell (creator 'genius'); plus he was starting to collect injuries that would plague him 25 years later. They hired Steven Bauer to replace him, and the audience hated him. The only good thing (if there was one) about Wahl leaving was that they gave McPike a bigger role.
