I had a friend who wore the power balance wristband, and when I was “able” to prove that it didn’t work, by making him lose balance, he said “well the reason it didn’t work is because I took it off and it takes 10 minutes”. After 10 minutes I was able to make him lose balance. To be fair I pushed him out of the blue, but he did technically lose balance. So I have doubts.

Man I remember these. I remember even like legit athletes fell for these. I remember wanting one, not because I thought it would do anything (from the very moment I heard of them, I knew they were bull crap and just stickers) but because I just thought they looked cool lmao. Like a novelty.

Because motors are typically faster than a bodily-powered mechanical function, and motors make that specific noise, it tells our brain that it goes faster. The way that they fixed this was that they added a weight into the remotes, making no other changes to the design, and then relaunching the weighted variety. People associated the heavier weight higher quality, metal>plastic, etcetera, etcetera, but useless things like that still have a place in association,, even now that they're unnecessary.

They sold these bottles of water for astronomical prices and the customers could also taste test them. The customers would explain how they differed from one another and how they preferred “this” one to “that” one. I know this is an old video now, but actually balance is probably one of the most important aspects/abilities in most sports I’d say. Balance is an underrated skill, it goes hand in hand with agility

The thing is- the bracelets do help your balance, strength, etc, but not for the reason you think. They are basically better looking anti-morning sickness bracelets. What these do is since they are tight on your wrist and they press on where your veins are, you are just generally more tensed up and aware of what's around you because of the mild discomfort it causes.
