Wishbone Ash, the beauty of simplicity and competence: lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass and drums, NOTHING ELSE. Perfect vocalization, wonderful songs. The best of great English rock! His album Argus, from the early 70s, is a landmark in world music, like Sargent Peppers of the B|EATLES. His song "Persephone", is very sensitive and beautiful: you listens to it twice and it never leaves his head. I met Wishbone Ash by chance in the 70s when I was in my early 20s. I'm 73, he's with me to this day. It's impossible to listen to a W.A. song and not like it. As I said, the best of great English rock... This Version is good, but nothing goes over the LIVE-DATES Version... Wishbone Ash is one of by favorite Bands since 1972... I love the guitars and the extra good moods Sound of their all players ...wishbone ash for ever !!

Having seen Wishbone Ash 3 times in the 70's I must say they still sound as good as any band today. Put them on a par with the Mighty Metallica. Fantastic live band.
@xpuke21 The first Wishbone members : Andy Powel ( lead Gitarre , Flying V ) Ted Turner Lead Gitare Steve Upton Drums Martin Turner Bass earlier, was the Brother of Martin ( glen ) at lead Gitarre, got replaced by Ted Turner ( wich is not Martins brother ) later was Laurie Wiesfiel repalcing Ted turner at sec. I have had this DVD since I was 12, and it's what made me pick up the guitar. I've been playing for nearly 6 years now.. and seen Ash like 5 times. .. . Still think Mark Birch is the best lead guitarist ash have ever had. He's not an original... but his playing is so special.
Good players all, although playing itself has changed so much over the years. I know; I've been playing for 47 years-SO hard to try to keep up! Saw WBA in Seattle in 73. They were playing thru all Orange amps when I saw them but the 1973 vids I see here are something else. (Fenders perhaps?)
