I don't think it's all that accurate to say Suletta isn't an ace pilot. She demonstrated just how good she really was when she got her hands on Calibarn.

I was a bit reluctant to watch because of the high school setting, but I was reminded very quickly what the Gundam series are about and Witch of Mercury had it all. Character focused, great combats, interesting politics and factions, the cost of war. And it wasn’t crazy long. I regret nothing

Suletta IS an Ace pilot, didnt you see her pilot the Calibarn??? The monster gundam??? she did all that while being at Permet 8 and her body suffering the curse the whole time!!!

The only little disaponent was that there was no final kyss but im still suddisfied because they are married loved this series

I enjoyed Witch From Mercury. It had some very nice character development for the leads, and even characters who weren't leads has some development as well. Neither Miorine nor Suletta are the same people at the end of the series that they were at the start, and their journey from start to finish was well done, in my opinion. I do think that the show overall would have benefited from being a couple of episodes longer, mostly to flesh out the ending or give a couple of characters a bit more screentime so that their fates would hit us harder in the end, but even still... I think it ended on a good note. Is G-Witch's ending perfect? No, but it's still satisfying and it puts a smile on my face while making me feel warm and fuzzy inside. Suletta and Miorine being happily married at the end of the show was nice to see, and it brought a sense of closure to everything. If this is where Gundam Witch From Mercury is to end... I'm glad it ended on a happy note. Because this show can be DARK and BRUTAL as HELL at times, even downright heartbreaking.

I feel like this show has most gundam tropes but done worse but its packaged in a way that most casual anime fans can watch.

Just one correction, funnel type weaponry got a lot of mileage in Gundam 00 so it is not since back in Char's Counterattack they were seen.

Funnels are in almost all of the series, they just appear near the end of the series. try looking up Shakespeare Tempest. The only new thing in this series is the school setting. Bandai had to do it one day. School anime with trope characters.

Suletta was clearly an ace btw. As the final fight clearly has shown but also the prequel novel.

The amount of people calling G Witch slice of life just because the characters interact with each other is both surprising and hilarious. I remember the good ole times when half of Zeta was spent on people just talking to each other about their feelings while chilling on the Argama, guess that's slice of life too.

It all makes sense if you've seen the absolute banger of an anime: Revolutionary Girl Utena, one of the greats for sure (whose influence you'll also appreciate in shows like Diebuster).

As a Mexican, I love that this anime got a Latin American Spanish dub. This has been the third time a Gundam audiovisual product has gotten an official dub, the other ones being Gundam Wing and Gundam: Hathaway.

I would argue more than a reconfiguration of UC Gundam, G-Witch is actually a more real robot take on G-Gundam. A lot of elements of the shows settings and even some story beats match up pretty well.

I really enjoyed the series, at first I wasn't sure about the school theme but I was determined to watch the whole series, the first part was a bit slow, and the second part and the problem I feel about the series is that it was too fast, I feel that there are elements of the plot that were left up in the air, things that were unresolved or that didn't go anywhere, I feel that this was the problem with the series, perhaps with more chapters it would have been better, and it's not that 24 chapters aren't are enough, but in this case they were not, in my opinion, despite that I liked the series and the end despite the things that have not been clearly resolved.

You don't need a 20 minute video to explain it. The focus of G-witch was personal relationships. Women love stories about relationships, and that's why this show is so popular with women. Even Tomino has said that 0079 Gundam was popular with girls because of all the drama happening on White Base. Girls supported Gundam long before Bandai took over with the model kits.

I think this video should have been divided two two parts because it took you 9 minutes to start talking about the theme of the video itself that you wanted to get to and in the end the part that you wanted to get to just feels crammed and rushed. Don't know how youtube and monetization works but and if it's worth it but there's so much more to be said about this show and the themes and how it really give a brave take to the gundam tropes and meta repartitions and you barley got into it. love your videos, please give them more room to breath.

I was actually expecting much more. While it is true that the mechanical aspects, animation, soundtrack, and character design were good, it is also true that the story had an abrupt and "magical" ending. Personally, I think it was a forced, rushed, and senseless conclusion. It was a series with a lot of potential, but they poorly developed the story. They took the liberty of spending 8 episodes on "the little school," and just when it seemed like the story was starting to take shape, it ended abruptly. There were many inconsistencies, like the magical appearance of dead people or turning Erich's body into a keychain. Prospera's 21-year plan went to waste. They didn't explain many things, like what the permet was, why they were called "witches," or if all the suits made use of the permet. The "Union" appeared out of nowhere, and Earth had almost no relevance. It's as if Sunrise forced the writers to conclude this anime. It was an anime with potential, but beyond the animation and the magic they presented at the end, it lacked further development. In my opinion, it was entertaining and colorful. I was hoping they would make another season for the story, but meh... this ending was somewhat disappointing.

G-Witch is basically Gundam Build Fighters )(sport/tournament anime) and the standard war story Gundam fused together

Nice timing releasing the video the same day the series end. I liked it a lot. The part i liked the least is The Earth House faction, too many minutes on screen and they are still under developed. I know its because the are Suletta new family but i dont know, these same characters in a Tomino show would be much better developed. I still couldnt care less about Martin. Also know I understand why there was no info until today about the HG Calibarn 😁. Absolutely preordering it

It was great. I wish I could say it was fantastic but the S2 was kind of a mess overall. Still my favorite Gundam AU since OO S1

This series did very little for me. The first episode of Turn A Gundam is better than all of it.

I've been a gundam fan since the early 90s so from the OG to G witch I've seen it all I'm sorry but G witch was average the first half set in the high school was boring it felt like it only brushed on the school setting while trying to remind the audience it's a gundam show season 2 strated off interesting and made me like a character like guel much more after his ordeal on earth As far as characters go I liked suletta throughout the story timid at first but gaining confidence near the later part demonstrated by her willingness to pilot the beast to stop her mother and sister and save them both While I didn't enjoy the story all to much and I do feel bad for those who did not getting the full 50 episode treatment I loved the mecha designs in this show I've Boughton most of the kits with the pheract being my favorite Over all it was a solid entry not the hype some have made to be but not a bad entry by any means Also you just got yourself a new subscriber

I honestly just dont like G-witch. It just doesnt have that gundam feeling.

It was at least enjoyable for me, but doesn't feel like a series I would come back to at least for a while. Story did not hook me in at all, the entire thing felt like an excuse to string together classic Gundam tropes into a cohesive narrative - by ad-libbing them into Shakespeare's Tempest I guess. HOWEVER: Credits where it's due - there were a lot of neat twist on said tropes, the characters were very well-rounded, and the drama aspect really does enough to draw me in again every week. I didn't like the ending though. It wasn't bad, just... not impressive, felt like the story just ended because it needed to end. It didn't hit me the same way as IBO's heartbreakingly bittersweet ending, or the poignant but optimistic conclusion of OO(S2). Hell, I'd say I liked Divers Re:Rise's ending more.

The first season was amazing. Sadly so many points were rushed or forgotten.
